    June 2019 challenge

One thing I’d change..that’s tough. I’ll go big and say JFK would not have been killed. It feels like a lot of dominos fell after that. Nothing else to say on that matter, not going to get political. Gym was a success today, did leg raises and I get to watch trashy TV tonight.

    Week 2 Struggles

I went straight to Trader Joe’s and got their sole, it’s frozen however such it’s such a thin fish it thaws quickly and it takes 3 minutes to sauté/steam. I hate mushy foods so that really helped me up my protein.

    June 2019 challenge

That is a nice long walk, I get bored after a mile or 2. I need to find a better spot. Today off to the gym at 11 followed by the core class. Odds are we will do limb raises, however if we don’t I’ll add those in later. #5. I’m a worrier so this could take all day. 😬

    Food Before and After Photos

I tried Chia pudding with almond milk and it turned out like a big lump with liquid floating on the top. I used a recipe that had a little a lot of positive reviews. I know how to measure and follow instructions, I can’t figure out what went wrong.

    The Maintenance Thread

I was convinced I was going to be an outlier and lose weight very quickly since I had such a good metabolism most of my life. It took me at least 5 months to accept that is not the case with me. I’m happy for everyone that loses faster than average and happy for everyone that keeps plodding along. We are all in the same boat, some of you have motors and I have an oar. 😂

This was SO good. I know it is an odd breakfast but it’s what I had today. Best 106 calories I’ve had in awhile! 14 gr. Protein 7 carbs. 1.5 oz shredded chicken breast 1 mission street corn tortilla fresh pico

Ok, I compromised. I went to the gym but I did cardio instead of the class. I don’t know why I am so reluctant, the regular instructor is back today and I like her. I’ll go again, it is a good workout. I did 30 minutes of cardio, 20 squats and I’m going for a 30 minute walk this afternoon to atone for my avoidance. Pretend I went to the class @ms.sss !

I’m not a huge fan of these “self love” parts. I’ll give it a whirl. I’m resilient, funny, realistic, competitive, open minded, accepting, empathetic, sympathetic, progressive and forgiving. I am however d.r.e.a.d.i.n.g. Going to the gym today. The strength aerobic class I have been taking is in an hour and I’m thinking of every excuse in the book to miss it. My plan is to suck it up and go, I’ll keep you posted. Feel free to shame me into going! 😁 I will do the squats afterwards.

Favorite Social media app. I’m not sure if it’s my favorite but I use Twitter the most. I just have to monitor my blood pressure while reading! 😂 Pinterest is definitely a healthier choice.

    Food Before and After Photos

This was dinner last night, I was stuffed after I ate most of it. My makeshift pizza. Boars Head Italian chicken sausage with 1/2 flatout low calorie bread and 1/3 cup shredded part skim mozzarella. 300 calories 12 carbs.

    The last 20lbs

You have lost a lot of weight, congratulations! We had surgery a month apart and I’m in the home stretch. I looked up 20 pounds ago and that was February 12th, so about 3.5 months or so. After a lackluster March I joined a gym with a personal trainer, bought a Fitbit, tightened up my diet and started participating on this website. I personally think working out and staying active is the key and will remain the key forever. If you want to join us for the June challenge come on over to this thread. Nothing is required, just motivation and support. here is the link June Challenge

    June 2019 challenge

My ideal day. (It’s sunny and 75) I have many scenarios based on weather lol. Wake up at 8:30 after a great nights sleep. Have a hot shower followed by a big iced coffee with sugar free vanilla creamer. Mid morning go for a walk at the riverfront and enjoy the scenery followed by lunch with friends or family at my local taqueria. Late afternoon hit a few stores and find the perfect outfit on sale. Relaxed dinner of grilled shrimp with a crisp salad (that I did not cook) with my husband, followed by sitting and chatting around the fire pit. Go to bed before 10 and much to my surprise find a romantic comedy I’ve never seen and thoroughly enjoy. Zzz And scene!

140 is my first goal, I plan on going lower once I hit that one. I need wiggle room.

I’m following this because I’m going to need it in a month or 2, the idea of maintenance scares me.

    June 2019 challenge

Welcome and hi all new people! I’m so excited the scale FINALLY moved today. I feel like I have a pattern of a drop the first week of the month then I hover for a few weeks. It feels like my body adjusts to the new weight even longer now. (I have been a slow loser from month 2) I’m down 2 pounds and 1.4 pounds from goal number one. Hang in there all you slow losers and stallers! Back to the gym today and including the core class. I have to think about my ideal day would be, however starting out with a 2 lb weight loss might make the list!

It’s normal, you will continue to lose. I was sleeved 8/13/18. I checked my numbers. At 4-5 months out I was losing 4-5 pounds a month. It feels slow but it does come off. And, congratulations on the 54, that is awesome.

    June 2019 challenge

Distraction free meals are a tough one for me. I did have company this weekend so I did eat at a table with no phone just people. I think that counts. I did the jumping jacks and it felt weird, I haven’t done those in years. I skipped the gym this weekend, I’m glad I did, I feel ready to go back at it tomorrow morning. I stayed active and walked a lot so it’s all good. mental health question. No qualms about getting help. I have ADHD and anxiety but both are under good control because I get help.

    Fitbit or Samsung gear fit

I have the inspire hr and my husband has the charge 3. I wish I would have bought the charge 3 for myself simply because of the battery life, his is SO much better.

    June 2019 challenge

My first goal this month is to hit my first goal of 140. I’m 3-4 pounds away and it’s been slow but I’ll get there! My second goal is to find a healthy gym/workout balance. I tend to be gung-ho the first few months and then burn out. I’m very aware of that and want to avoid that pitfall. I had sleeve surgery 8/18. I feel optimistic today. We have family coming for the weekend and I’m excited to hang out with them. Going to take a long walk today, and do a plank the best I can.
