I am post op 5 days and feel like this was the worse decision of my life. I am struggling with intake (up to 2 shakes and 20 oz of water) and now have diarrhea. I am so weak.
Has anyone had these issues and what did you do to overcome.

I threw up alot about week after my surgey .i had regrets irritability and was weak could not exercise.. i took me all day to eat 3 ounces of food and could no get my liquids in or Protein shakes with whey protein i hated the smell of it couldnt eat ice pops but after about 8 weeks it was a miracle one i woke up all of a sudden i felt better turkey chili saved me I lost so much weight that after i ate i gained som weight back.. but it is the best thing i ever did still to my life... hang on it will get better ...

I weight about 10 pounds more today than the day of my RNY (which was Tuesday). How is this possible? Is it all retained Fluid from having an IV and fluids after surgery?

I gained after my surgery because i had a difficult recovery where i was barely eating i got better and started eating real food again and gained then was losing again

I had complications during my recovery but I would do it all over again I dont want to discourage you I would go through what I went through it's the best thing I ever did
