  1. Hello all! Well today is the day! My surgery is at 7:30 CST! It is 4:20 am here and I am up and getting ready to leave in an hour! I have to be there at 6am. I wish everyone well that is having surgery today! And for those newly banded I will be one of you shortly!

I will email you on the other side!:rolleyes2:

  2. I will be banded along with you tomorrow! I did the lovely bowl cleaning yesterday!:girl_hug: I don't feel very well today and I am thinking it is a combination of the bowel cleaning and 2 days of nothing but liquid.:sneaky:

Hopefully that it all it is!

I wish everyone the best of luck tomorrow!

We will have to compare notes!

    God Bless you all!

  3. You know you don't HAVE to go! IMHO it seems like they love having you over so that they can make themsleves feel better about how rotten their lives are by picking on you!

I for one would not go and if pressed by any of them why I didn't show up I will just tell them I had better things to do than listen to the rude and spiteful things that my family who is supposed to love me says about me! If is p's them off they have 2 options:

    1. get over it

    2. get over it

  4. I am not going to get into right or wrong here. All I will say is that if you are under the BMI you know it in time to raise it before you start all of this. I found out before I started this process what the cutoff for the BMI was ( I met it of course..lol).

But if you know from the get go that you aren't going to met it why wait till you have Dr appt to try and raise it?

If it were me I would just gain steadily from month to month so that I did meet it. I mean how hard is it to gain 10 pounds or so in a few months?

For me that would be easy to do!

Anyway that is my 2 cents on this!

  5. Things I will not miss:

The steering wheel rubbing my belly and the seat is back as far as it will go!:w00t:

Not being able to really find a bra that will fit right and being to embarrased to have a expert actually measure me and help find the correct size.:)

Trying to find a top that will cover my belly and not look like a maternity top.:cool2:

But most of all not feeling comfortable in my own body.

I could go on but y'all undertand where I am coming from!

  6. Hey Restless! Thanks for the honor of the applesauce! lol How are you feeling? I hope things are going great for you!

I got on the scale at my grandmother's and it said that I have lost 20lbs but I am gonna see what the Dr's scales say on Tuesday! I hope I have lost that much! That would be great!

I am so excited for everyone here! Our lives are beginning again!

  7. I am on day 6 of the Atkins Induction diet. It is mostly lean meat, fish, eggs ( all you want) and cheese plus some veggies and No fruit or carbs. So far so good I have to do this for 2 more weeks then I am on shakes for 2 weeks ( oh joy!).

Right now I am doing a shake for Breakfast, and then lean meat for lunch and a small salad and lean meat for dinner.< /p>

Does anyone have any good shakes they can recommend. I have tried Slim Fast Creamy vanilla and I don't care for them!

Thanks and Good luck to everyone!!

  8. Sorry about all that you are going through! I would call your PMD on Monday and tell them you are giving them till Wednesday to have your records copied and a letter written. Tell the PMD that you will file a complaint with the State Board of Med if you do not recieve resolution. Call your Ins co and advise them you may have to change PMD and see if there is anyway they can approve this if you change DR's since your PMD is not doing her job. I personally think she is trying to sabotage you by not writing the letter as requested. If she waits too long then she knows you will have to start the 6 months all over. You have to be agressive and remember that your PMD works for you. After all it is your INS that pays her bills and you pay your Ins premium.

  9. I have to have my morning coffee otherwise my family doesn't want to be near me! lol Are we allowed to drink coffee. I have read that if your band is tight in the morning to drink something warm so how about coffee? Please let me know because if it is a no no then I need to start weaning myself off before I have surgery, Right now I am just waiting for insurance approval.

    Thanks!!

  10. I had also heard great things about their program and I have had friends who had surgery there and loved it. I did go to an informational seminar. The Dr was very knowledgable about the procedure however, I just didn't like his personality. I don't think we would have been a good fit. I am going to Dr Huerta who is in Dickson. He is a very nice soft spoken man. His practice is not as large as the one at Centennial and he is still part of the TRI-Star network of hospitals along with Centennial.

For me personally I wanted the Dr to know me and with Centennial I felt like I was just going to be a number.

Vanderbilt and Baptist also have weight loss surgery clinics as well so you may want to check those out too!

    I wish you the best.
