  1. I'm 9 weeks out and still having trouble eating all the Protein, liquids and getting enough calories in. I still remember those first few weeks. All I could really do was drink the life Water, popsicles and Jello. I found the flavorless Beneprotein and started adding it to jello, and anything else. All the people are in here have such good advice. All you can do is try to drink water. The doc was okay with me waiting a little longer to start the puree. Do what feels right for your body? I hope you geel better soon. Xoxo

  2. I never heard of this but am going to look it up. It's only been 9 weeks, but I lost 48lbs and my boobs are deflating especially on the top, the stretch marks are more visible and it makes wrinkly looking skin. I hope I'll keep learning about the options on here. Thank you so much for posting

  3. Still have my lymphadema, probably will rest of my misbegotten life, but I am awake at 3 AM, so maybe not missbegotten, as much as blah. But I can also report my feet have narrowed out of wide width, my legs have reverted back to more normal shapely human legs from looking a cross between dining table pedestals and an elephant foot umbrella stand. And when I'm looking me over in the sunny light of day my shape is returning. Oh my tummy will never be perfect and flat, 3 9-pound babies, lax muscles and too too many years of obesity, but it's okay, it is what it is and it beats death all hallow, doesn't it? I can cram it into clothes, which I am dropping sizes on, Yippee Skippee. for me, I swore I would be stuck a 26- 28 W forever, bought the 30s in my former closet to sleep in, now I can see 20s coming soon! Ever deminishment is, Gee I haven't been this size since____insert a good memory here!! And when I'm not crabby I'm proud of the woman I am becoming, because I , best of all, know what she went through. I remember the chairs I got stuck in because I was too wide or I just didn't have strength to get up on my own. I remember sitting on an old wooden kitchen chair because relatives wouldn't let me on the GOOD furniture, then time I got stuck in the back seat, even with Tomkitten and his help I ended up with visible bruising .Of not having the stamina not to keep with others on a walk, having to rest halfway up a set of stairs, having take showers because I could s u t v down safely in the tub. These are a few of my sad memories, and almost every obese person has them. Of having Morbid Obesity on every record paper, Oh I yearn for a mere Overweight classification, and it shall soon come! I told someone recently I am half the Woman I used to be and twice as happy with myself, never dreamed of such deminishment in weight, starting to look like my dead relatives, still okay, some were very nice people who would cheer me on if they hadnt exceeded their earthly years. Of course there would be a Wisenheimer or 2,one branch was populated with smart alecks, the difference, they could not degrigate me any longer, I'm stronger in spirit, would look them in the eye, not cry but give back as good as I got! And ooh I have years of verbal abuse to have cremated! But I would never. return to the Old Days when the New Days and life are so much better!*![emoji12][emoji403][emoji304]
    Congratulations

  4. I had Beans in the puree stage and they were all that made me feel satisfied and better than I had been feeling, since the surgery. I used lowfat cheese too. I could only eat a little bit.. but tiill this day it's my safe go to meal. But each person is different. They do make you too. But I had no pain or bloating discomfort. Good luck :)

  5. I think so fat the Premier shakes are the best taste and bang for our buck (powde). The nutritionist said I could use sugar free Torani flavors to change the flavors. She also said to try using my crystal light drink mixes or the imitation flavorings we use to bake with. The Cookies in cream in the can version and the clear drinks are a little to sweet for me. I do like their Protein Bars. I just tried the new Breakfast square and didnt like that too much.

Of course you’re welcome! Hi and nice to meet you 👋🏻. I had the sleeve but my DIL has RNY. I do think her recovery time was a lot longer than mine as far as energy. I started getting mine back 3-4 weeks , hers was longer. My surgeon has me taking B12 sublingual every day as well. Hang in there, it will get better and congratulations on almost 50 lbs!! That is amazing 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Thank you. I feel better that a couple of yh have welcomed me. I felt guilty reading posts without permission. I. Weird like that

  7. I hope I can join your group. I had my RNY gastric bypass surgery on 1/29/19. I've had trouble eating. It feels like I just prefer drinking Water. I feel so dehydrates and weak. I've lost 48lbs since surgery, but feel and look like the walking dead. I'm starting regular food and hope that will help me since I dislike Soup and mushy foods. Does anyone have these problems of feeling dehydrated and weak?

I take gabapentin and have had to take the powder out of the capsule. It has the most horrifying taste. My Vitamins are terrible, but they seem like a treat after gabapentin. My Dr says I have to crush for 30 days. Tomorrow is my 2 week post-op and asking if I can switch.

I'm sorry. I didn't know gabapentin came in capsules. I have tablets. They were the worst tasting crushed, but I could stomach them just cut in 4.
