    Laxative "transfer addiction"?

My guess? You lost the actual weight during the week. You retained a bit of water, and by flushing it out of your system with the MoM, you're seeing your actual weight.

    30 minutes

    Windows has a built-in timer
  3. Ah. Yeah, I was 360.8 lbs the morning I went into surgery myself.
  4. Your loss is a bit of an inspiration. Was your starting weight listed at day of surgery or was it your maximum?
  5. So, in other words, with me a month and a half out, focus on just getting the protein minimums and the weight will come off. Anyone know why stalls happen?

    Scale weirdness

Don't think I've got the right equipment to get hormonal that way I'm 31 and male, after all.

I think I might be retaining a bit of water the past couple days. My calorie count's been low and I've been hitting my protein goal, but I managed to gain 3 lbs on my scale. Could also be a stall and my scale's been acting weird.

    Allowing for occasional treats

Honestly, what I'm planning on doing for "treats" is making things that kind of taste like treats but in reality have the necessary protein and low carbishness for my plan. Or buying things off the bariatricpal store. I don't want to risk dumping if I can avoid it.

    Food one month out

Depends on the program. My liquids went to purees after the first week follow-up, then I went to softs ten days later and "real food" two weeks after that. That said, I'm kinda still doing mostly soft and pureed food.
  11. Anyone try this? I know they sell it at the BariatricPal store, but I want some perspective from other bariatric patients before I make the purchase. Is it any good? Does it sit well with your pouch/sleeve?
  12. when I was on full liquids, they still wanted me to get in the habit of 30 mins before and after.

    Favorite non scale victory

Down to 2x shirts this week from 3x.
  14. So, I'm supposed to be on "normal" foods again by now, but I'm still having issues eating over 2-3 ounces of food at a time. Additionally, some so-called "normal" food refuses to stay down because my pouch just doesn't like it yet. I was told by my nut that I need to hit 75 grams of protein a day, and unfortunately, most of the food I can keep down doesn't quite have me hitting that goal. I find myself reaching for protein shakes again and again because I know that they can and do help me get the required protein I need. I've tried making higher protein recipes, like putting protein powder in hummus to make it more protein, but maybe I'm not putting enough in. I also throw it into things like Wendy's chili, which stays down quite well. Fish and chicken are both a bit hit or miss for me. Same thing with Jerky. Most of the time it goes down fine, but sometimes that changes. Any recommendations on how I can consistently hit my goals?
  15. Anyone else have this problem? Yesterday I was able to eat beef jerky from this bag of jerky just fine. Today, well, it came back up. Did it somehow dry out too much overnight or something?
  16. oddly, sashimi goes down fine. First place my wife and I went out to eat post-surgery together. Unfortunately, second place did not sit well. Holding off on that one and a few others until I'm more situated. Turkey burgers sound like a good idea though.
  17. My doc said something about the microwave drying things out when something similar happened to me with chicken last week. Of course, that didn't explain the hour and a half of NOPE that day.

    Pounds lost

6 weeks out, bit over 40 lbs lost. Fluctuating a bit, so up a bit today.

    Food one month out

Wendy's chili has been my go-to food.
  20. Doctor's scales are always 5-7 lbs off from home, if only partially because of clothes and the other part is because of them sometimes having consistent inaccuracies. I was 7 lbs off on Wednesday. 329 in office. 322 at home. (320 this morning)
  21. Honestly, I'm mostly happy with my journey so far. 40 lbs down from surgery day. I can actually use my wife's dial scale rather than my digital one. Still 20 lbs to go before I hit my first goal milestone.
  22. Surgeon said he wasn't sure. Since I can keep fluids down. I don't have pressure there, just a nausea that's actually at the bottom of my gut. The nurse practitioner attached to the practice though the vomiting might just be because of reheating my chicken on Tuesday, meaning it lost moisture. I'm a bit better now. New nausea meds are mostly working, and I'm keeping fluids down.
  23. My issue right now is that I don't know if I have a stricture or if it's just some sort of norovirus gastroenteritis. Since switching to full liquids, I haven't vomited, even though I've definitely felt nauseous.

You're definitely not the only one. I tend to fluctuate every couple days though overall it's a downward trend.
  25. Chicken salad and hummus did well for me. Along with a buffalo chicken puree, but if you want bland, you might want to avoid the buffalo. Also, don't discount protein shakes.
