  4. Hi, I'm in my 3rd month of the 6 month program required by my Dr. & Insurance co. My Dr. also requires I loose 10% prior to surgery. I've been getting very nervous and scared, as I was preparing for RNY gastric bypass. Tonight I've been reading the posts and wow! You folks have motivated me. I've decided I'm going with the band. I know I can go through with the band surgery. I'm scared to death of the other. My biggest problem right now is my emotional relationship with food. I need to loose 25 lbs. in the next 3 months. And I'm eating like I've never eaten before. I think it is like "last supper syndrome". Dr said I may have to start a liquid diet next month if I'm not on track. And the thought of that is causing me to eat more. I need to take control but I seem to have no will power. You'll be hearing from me more often, now since I've decided Lapband is the way to go. I'll need all your help and support to get me through. Thanks, looking forward to hearing from you.

And meet with my surgeon, Dr. Davidson. www.wgtlossclinic.com I'm so excited I just had to share. Cathy

  15. Hi, :tt1: I had my first visit, like seminar on 4/30. Recieved a packet to fill out and send back. When they get my packet and info from my PCP, they will schedule consult with Doc. I have Highmark Blueshield PPO. So to get approved I need physician supervised diet for 6 months, Psych consult, & Nutrition consult. I'm 5.7 and weigh 285 or so. I have a BMI of 43/44. So here it sit, on my fat ass, :Dancing_wub: pondering whether or not I should go through with this. I filled out the questionere but now I need to fill out a 3 day food journal. That is my hang up!! I don't know if I should be truthful and write down all the junk I eat. Last year I did WW and lost 30 lbs. :hurray: but gained almost all that back :Dancing_wub: and just can't get my eating under contol since. Why do they want food log? Should I lie or tell the truth. The reason I'm waiting to fill out the form is waiting for a day I eat healthy. I don't know If I can do this! I like to eat. If I get banded I'm afriad I'll just live on ice cream I don't know what to do. HELP?
