  1. 2 weeks liquid diet... done
    1 day water... done
1 more day water and then surgery.

I am nervous but I am looking forward to surgery being in my past and moving on with and enjoying life.

    Pre Op Liquid diet

I was starving too for a couple of days, day 3 it started to settle down. The first 3 days I had some sugar free jello to help me. Day 4 was easier and now at day 12 it's very easy. Drink water and fight through those first few days. You got this.

    February 2019 weight loss buds

I'm on day 8 of this, well optifast protein shakes. It's easier now. I have 6 more days of it followed by 2 days of just clear fluids and then surgery on the 11th. I am dreading the 2 days of just clear though, I think I'll be starving then. Or maybe I will be so nervous that the surgery is so close I won't notice lol.

    February 2019 weight loss buds

I am feeling the same way as you, mine is on the 11th. You aren't alone. I just try to keep myself busy and my mind off it but that's easier said then done. Just keep positive and focused on the reason you're doing it in the first place, that's the goal, the surgery is just one of the steps to getting there. Best wishes.

    February 2019 weight loss buds

It did get easier the afternoon of day 3 for me. Day 4 wasn't too bad but I was still somewhat hungry so I had a sugar free jello. Today is day 5 and I've only had the shakes. But I am dreaming that I am eating and I wake up panicked that I messed up.

    February 2019 weight loss buds

My surgery is on February 11. I have seen a couple others with the same date! I have been on Optifast liquid diet since January 26th until February 8th, then only clear fluids until surgery. The first 3 days were hard, the hunger was significantly less yesterday and I am hoping today is much better. Other than the hunger I have been so tired so I have spent the last 3 days on the couch sleeping on and off all day. 4th day now and I haven't been on the couch yet! Progress!
  8. It's more close to 10 months because I got my surgery date at 9 months in, but I haven't had my surgery yet and I didn't factor that in. Also after one appointment I was confused about whether they were calling me or I was supposed to stop on my way out to make another appointment, so I called the next day. I was told on the phone it would be about 3 weeks and they would call me, and then she put me through to an answering machine and told me to leave my name to verify I was on the list or something along those lines. They called me back that day and booked an appointment for the following week. I think I just got lucky. I didn't private pay. I also didn't have to do a sleep clinic and I only had to see each of the specialists one time. Thanks I hope it all goes well too, it's getting closer and I am getting nervous and excited.
  9. I am from Canada and it took about 9 months for all the classes and appointments to finally get my surgery date.
