  1. I finally feel back to myself. I'm off all pain meds and nausea meds. I've been sleeping great ! I'm down 20 lbs (7pre op 13 post op) I have my 1 week FU tomorrow and I'm hoping since I've had a great Fluid intake I'll be moved to purees. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 I have 6 little scars and they all seem to be healing nicely so far IMG_20190221_135304_133.jpeg

  2. That was a rough time. The surgery went text book according to the surgeon but I woke up with the worst nausea. I was vomiting (air) for about 6 hours post op. They gave me several types of meds to help but told me the more I rest the better I'll feel. They kept me on medication for nausea and pain until about 10-11 the next day. Then I was able to get up and walk around. Did laps and then would fall back asleep. I'm so much better feeling today. Anyone who tries to say this is the "easy" way has lost their minds. definitely harder than I expected.

  3. I have been on my all liquids preop diet since Wednesday and I've been tracking all of my intake on Baritastic ( an app suggested to use by my nutritionist) I have been crushing my Protein goals (70grams a day) and staying below my sugar/carb/ fat intake. My Water intake has been great as usual. I have been hitting between the 700-800 calorie mark each day (normal as I'm told) but I have been struggling with a vertigo feeling today. I'm not sure if anyone else has had this and if so what helped or did it continue. I see my surgeon on Monday but I wanted to pick someone's brain.

  4. I'm just wondering about how long did everyone else take off for recovery ? I was told 1-2 days in the hospital and then about a week after before I return to work. I work in a triage unit for a hospital so I'm wondering if maybe 2 weeks would be better or overkill. I know everyone is different I'm just looking for more information.

  5. My insurance requirements are minimal. I have to pass a psych eval (done) see a exercise therapist (scheduled) and a dietician (scheduled) then follow up once with each of them two weeks after my first initial appt with them (already scheduled) then I'm ready to submit! That is all my insurance requires. No weigh-ins or supervised visits/diets etc. From my first appt with my surgeon to my surgery date should be approx 3 months.

  6. I am hoping your insurance experiance is better then me.

I have BCBS too out of Illinois. They denied my first claim in Sept, and my appeal in November.. I had to appeal to the state and they over turned the verdict In January.
It took 5 months, and I was nervous wreck, but everything is over no more hoops to jump through.

Oh my goodness. I'm sorry you had to go through so much hassle. I am trying to stay positive but it's so hard to tell what the insurance will do ! [emoji4] [emoji4]

  7. I am at the end of my pre op requirements. I did 6 months of a supervised diet, a psych eval. Saw a nutritionist and spoke with a exercise physiologist. My weight loss center has sent over my information to my insurance today and I am a nervous wreck !! How long did it take everyone else to hear back from BCBS ? What were some of your requirements ?
