Hi,
I was sleeved 12/4! No major issues except gas and nausea the first few days post op. Nausea is completely gone. Gas pains infrequently. My major issue had been trying to get down the Protein Shake. It was taking all day to get through 3/4 of one. Finally figured out that I had to cut it with milk. Now I can drink it in an hour or two. Plus I added Fairlife milk for 13g of extra Protein.< br />
Other than that, felt like I was starving or malnourished because of eating so little on the full liquid diet. Thank God my program switches to purées/soft food Day 7 post op! Wednesday can’t come fast enough!
Good luck all!

Hi,
I’m having my surgery at Weil Cornell too with Dankin. Who was your surgeon? What did you think of Cornell? Thanks.

Hi,
Although I will not get my surgery date until my last appointment with the surgeon and nutritionist on 11/12, they say that my date will be the end of November!
I’m in NYC. My center only requires a pre-op liquid diet for two days pre-surgery! They do not require weight loss, they just don’t want weight gain.
Anyway, I’m both nervous and excited! Good luck to us all.

He's taken over as chief. Afaneh has a decent reputation, too. I think it depends on which surgery you want as to who you see.
Thank you. I’m thinking the gastric sleeve.

Hi,
I will be making an appointment with cornell for a consultation. I was referred to Dr. Pomp but it is my understanding that he just retired. I have a choice to see either Dankin or Afaneh. Has anyone had Either for surgery? Although it’s my understanding that Dankin took over for Pam, the reviews for Afaneh online seem better. Thoughts? Thanks.
