Do you know how many calories a day you are eating? What about your macos - Protein, carbs, fats?

Are you doing a lot of exercise, what type?

I dont keep track unfortunately. & i do cardio everyday well try to and i just got a personal trainer so just like the basic stuff to tone up

  2. Hey all!

I am a feww weeks away from my 1 year post op. I am sooo hungry and i have no idea why lol. I am eating every couple of hours and i was wondering is anyone else having this issue?? Granted, cant eat much but i have the urge to eat. I still need to lose 30-40 more pounds and im just worried. Please helppppp

  3. Hey everyone!

I will be 1 year post op July 18th and right now i'm kind of lost. I'm down 101 pounds so i'm very happy about that. 😊 I just need the motivation to exercise and be motivated. I feel like i'm at a stand still and my next goal is 30 more pounds. What gives you motivation to work out and just all around motivation? Also how much do you eat? My surgeon said i need to measure everything i eat still. I just serve a little bit and if i dont finish the food i throw it away..

I am ok with the shaved ice and I do better with cold liquids vs room temp

I was told i can have boost glucose control and carnation healthy start which are helping I keep forgetting the tea ... ..and have bouts of hangry because everybody else in the house must be fed. This zero yogurt i have Monday is going to be the best ever lol. Didn't realize how emotional I would be and how fast the weight would be coming off even before surgery i lost 7 lbs from Friday to Monday. I have a heightened sense of smell for food for some reason. I keep getting random painful hiccups and only two of my incisions hurt but the others itch like crazy which I know signifies healing but oddly enough where they injected my blood thinner days ago itches more than anything. But I'm trying to stay positive ..and not bite somebody lol

Yeah its hella rough because i used to eat soooo much lol. Hang in there that weight is gonna fall off and youre gonna look great!

  5. I drank alcohol 3 weeks after my surgery and felt like crap about it. Youll feel liike you messed up a lot of times during this journey you just have to accept the fact you did it, take responsibility, and move on. Thats what i have to do, im still very hard on myself with certain things but when i get back on track im good. ☺️

  6. If this helps, when i first had my sleeve done i threw up the broth because it was sooo gross to me. The 2nd week i tried eating Soup (dont do) but it made me sick also but i was sooo hungry and i was so used to eating food that i was in shock on what i did to my body. My advice is eat sugar free popsicles and drink alot of liquids. Thats what helped me. I drained some Soups though and drank the broth from those and that helped but i drank alot of Water, tea, and like sugar free gatorades. Good luck!☺️

So i joined Crossfit last March i think... hehe..... I thought for sure they were going to kill me. NOPE.... I have never been to a gym that EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE is cheering you on. I walk in and everyone says.... Hey Chris.... What's great about it, i don't have to think. They tell and show me what to do every day. It's like having a personal trainer every day. Some people say... it's expensive, but If you got pay a gym membership and on top of that pay a trainer twice a week..... that's way more than the $100 i pay a month... with no contract. Without that no telling how much i would have gained when i lost my Lapband.

Most places let you try a few times. Don't worry, there are people of every size and level in there. I was definitely the weakest and least fit. But they don't care. Now neither do I.

I get the GNC chewables... they look like a starburst. I know that this site has a great melting one.

    Awesome thank you great advice!

70 lost in five months is fantastic. 65 pounds to go. You never know where exercise can take you. Be open to the possibilities. find what you enjoy and be consistent. Use it as “me time” and self care. (Don't let anyone interrupt) It’s another way to develop healthy habits. You can use it to replace stress/emotional eating and process life’s issues. Start slow and build up.

What gets you motivated to workout?? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    • Exercise is a choice. The next the next seven month are going to go by if you workout or not. Decide where you want to be in your first year.
    • Some days I need perspective, not motivation. A cancer patient with three months to live would gladly trade places for our weight loss struggles.
    • If you workout during the winter, what could your body look like by summer?
    • Motivation to exercise in can be hard, bariatrics is hard and being obese is hard. Choose your hard.
    • Exercise will compliment your weight loss. For many of us, the last 20lbs are difficult to lose.
    • Each month’s choices are the next month’s body.
    • Weightlifting (gym or home) can help fill the loose skin a bit.
    • If it’s important to you, you will find a way to get it in. If it’s not you will find excuses

I loved this! I never thought of perspective at all and that really opened my eyes. Thank you!!

Motivation peaks and troughs, motivation may get you started but commitment will keep you going.

For exercise, do something that you enjoy...join a sports team if that's your thing ogor dancing. If you find yourself constantly putting off scheduled exercise..do in the morning....get everything ready the night before, set as many alarms as you need to get out of bed, get out of bed and just do it. That way you have no excuses later in the day.

Do you enjoy walking but short of time? Break it down into manageable chunks of time...instead of doing 30 minutes do 2 x 15mins or 3 x 10mins etc.

Make appointments to walk with a friend or family member...it will be a great opportunity to catch up while exercising.

this was awesome to read thank you sooo much!

  12. Hey everyone! I am currently 5 months post op and I am loving this new life. I get told everyday how good I'm looking and how I lost a lot of weight I just don't really see it I guess yet🤷‍♀️ I am however having issues with my vitamins and I'm lacking motivation hard with exercising! What Vitamins can you keep down? Like I think my biggest thing are the MULTIVITAMINS. I get sick every time so I end up not taking my vitamins which is horrible and I don't want to do that.

What gets you motivated to workout?? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

  13. Surgery weight-274

    TOday weight-225

My issues I'm having still is not taking Vitamins like I'm supposed to and drinking 64 oz of Water. I'm starting to feel hungry now and even though I cant eat a lot I'm starving so I wonder if not drinking enough water is why. I made it my goal this week to start a plan to get start taking this more serious and not half ass anything.

It was hard to get my liquids in too its STILL hard to drink Water and to drink shakes. I'm making a goal starting this week to get my Vitamins in Protein in because I have goals that I want to reach. I feel the same way its hard but there is support.
