  1. Thanks so much for your knowledge, If I drink it is always with a zero cal mixer but the Rum has calories so 2 drinks is over 200 cals. Not many more parties in this year so it will be easier to refrain. I know I need to drink more Water and good thinking on going back to the 1000 cals rather than 1200. I also need to exercise more consistently. Thanks again for your feedback

  2. HI Thank you. Yes, I can call them but I am embarrassed to because I was doing so well. I gained over the last 8 weeks. I do track food, definitely not drinking enough Water. The snacking after having a drink or 2 is true, especially at parties where there is a lot of it, I do not log those

  3. I had Gastric Sleeve Surgery on March 5 2019. I had been doing great. Losing from 335 to 234, I am back up to 250 and scared, Has this happened to anyone? I did incorporate social drinking back into my diet. I just don't want old habits/ways of coping to sneak up on me. Also, I needed to increase my Protein so started drinking high protein coffee in the morning but its about 100 calories plus 36 for the almond milk, mistake even though 15 grams of protein? What tricks did you use to get back on track? Thank you

  4. I had my surgery on March 5th, 2019. I was losing a lot of weight each week. Last week only 1 lb and this week I only lost 1.5 lbs. I am frustrated at going through this surgical process to lose weight and having the loss already slowing down. I have not cheated at all. I stay at 1000 healthy calories a day, 70 to 80 grams of Protein. Only drink Water. most days 64 ozs per day. What am I doing wrong?

It takes time to work up to that goal beauties! If you can get there immediately that id pretty amazing 👑 A lot of people can not, i couldn't until about 1 month post op. Increase a little more day by day and don't give up!

Congratulations on everyone who just made it through surgery safely 💜

    HI There

I had surgery on 3/5/19. Everything has gone well, the only thing they recommended at my 2 week appt was increasing my Water intake. The last 3 days I have had zero energy! Did you experience this?

it is possible you have moved too much? I had this happen after I thought I was all better and folded three loads for laundry lol I was super sore the next day. try a light heating pad and some Tylenol. take it easy!

Yes, or I moved in a wrong way, this morning because I felt OK when I got up but I lifted my 12 pound puppy onto the bed an don't think I should have

  7. I had surgery on March 5th. The last 2 days I was feeling a bit less sore. Today I am considering taking my pain medication because my stomach feels so tender whenever I move.

Has anyone else had this happen after they had already started feeling better?

  8. I was in for one night. They do make you stay for most of the day following surgery. You have to do the swallow test. Once that is done they start giving you Water 2oz at a time. I was very nervous prior to surgery so I understand. I won't lie lie, the first couple of day are tough, but you feel better each day. If you have a recliner I recommend sleeping in it the first few nights. Laying flat hurts. I have been in my bed now the last 2 nights.

My surgery was yesterday. I guess I was expecting the worst and I’ve been pleasantly surprised. I haven’t had any nausea and I’m not having any pain when taking sips of clears.

I’ve been taking walks and really feeling pretty good. So excited to hear abt everyone’s journeys.

    Good luck to you all!!

I’m just curious if you had a drain? I’ve seen some post they have and some haven’t. It kinda freaks me out a little lol

Yes, I had a drain and I was dreading it. Honestly, it wasn't that bad. I get grossed out really easy so if I say it is not that bad it's not haha. The hospital gave me this cool little crossbody bag that held the drain so I didn't have to worry about it dangling or one of my pets pulling on it. It also held the drain when I was in the shower., so definitely ask if they have one, it was so convenient to have. Also, I thought it would hurt so bad when it came out, never felt a thing. My DR was funny he was asking me "are you sure you want this out today?" I was like yes, he had already taken it out

  10. I had my Sleeve done on March 5th. I am home. Has anyone had any issues with a dry throat cough? It scares me to cough, like I'm going to pop all my stomach staples. I worry that I am not getting enough fluids, though I am still urinating regularly so take that as a good sign I am not dehydrated. I have been home since the day after surgery 3/6, but have not felt as tired as I do today. I literally feel like I could just sleep all day. Has this happened to anyone else?

Thanks and good luck to you all

  11. I completely understand. I was supposed to have my surgery in Nov 2018, I was almost to my goal surgery weight but my father in law was very sick with cancer so surgery was postponed until Jan and then again to February, My father in law was in hospice but I was his main caregiver at home, needless to say I have gained back 20 lbs. Unfortunately my FIL passed away recently and I am struggling with losing the weight I need to prior to surgery which as of today is scheduled for March 5th. It is so difficult
