  1. Thanks! It helps so much to hear from vets with long term experience so we get some insight on what to expect down the road. Congratulations on your success. ?
  2. To quit asking myself every time I go into a public restroom,"Why do these keep getting smaller and smaller?!" To get up off the couch unlike a pregnant woman.
  3. I have the Fitbit Versa and I love it.
  4. My surgeon and nutritionist had me start vitamins a month after surgery for the same reason.
  5. I agree with KCgirl061 and Healthy_life2...very good advice. Also you said you think your malnourished and dehydrated a lot. That's where you can focus your efforts until you become able to progress to working out.
  6. Don't look at yourself as a failure. When people do that they tend to want to throw in the towel and binge eat. You're only allowing yourself "treats" if it fits your macros and doesn't exceed your caloric intake. As long as you're within those parameters it is not failing/cheating. It's maintaining a healthy long term balance and creating a healthy relationship with food. It IS going to take the commitment to always log your food so your always aware and accountable and keeping yourself in check. By the way you're doing great so far! Congratulations on your weight loss!
  7. Congratulations!! ?
  8. Happy Birthday Tiffany!!! I hope you feel better and have an amazing 35th birthday ??
  9. The other day @Healthy_life2 posted my all time favorite motivational speech and I thought I would share it here....
  10. I'm wondering the same thing. These are my numbers so far starting the day of my surgery with no pre-op diet:
  11. Right now the numbers on the scale going down, my non scale victories and you guys of course ?
  12. My Dr. put me on acid reflux medication for two months. Maybe you can call and have them do another refill. This will give you a chance to loose more weight and hopefully alleviate any weight related reflux. I'm in the same boat with the water. I did better in the beginning drinking my water than I'm doing now. I may get a water reminder app on my phone and see if that helps. I know the protein shakes are so convenient. I still drink one about every other day. They're quick and easy on your stomach and if you're like me some days my stomach feels like it just doesn't tolerate food as well as others. So weird but I guess we're still healing. It sounds like you're doing great on the weight loss and are having some nice non scale victories. Congratulations on your progress and I hope your reflux gets better with time. ?
  13. OMG!!! Congratulations! I'm so happy it all worked out for you. ? ?
  14. Wow I have never heard of that so I had to look it up. That seems like such a cool and fun way to work out! I'm gonna try it too! Good luck ?
  15. Yes my all time favorite!
  16. I have a tattoo on my hip/upper butt that I got in my early twenties that I'm hoping doesn't end up in the middle of my butt after I loose more weight! Like you I'm not worried about my ankle tat. By the way, I've been wondering about you and if you worked out the problem you had with your endoscopy clearance?
  17. If you don't already have a water bottle with the ounces on it you might want to pick up one or order one. It really helped me reach my water goals. I got mine on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CQ2C8SB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  18. Congratulations! I'm so happy for you ?
  19. In 2013 I lost a lot of weight doing IF. It was the only eating plan that actually worked long term for me and I'm planning on getting back to it when I start to plateau. Back then I was doing 16:8 and my macros were set at 50/30/20 and if I felt really ambitious 40/40/20. So my question to you guys who are doing IF now is what is your macro ratio?
  20. Yosemite is always beautiful this time of year especially after a good winter snow pack starts to melt and flow down the waterfalls. This is a view of the valley floor taken from Glacier Point. IMG_2245.HEIC Welp that didn't work! It was a really pretty picture too ? IMG_2245.HEIC
  21. My Doctors and nutritionists recommended Flinstone Complete twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. Also calcium citrate plus vitamin D three times a day and vitamin B12.
  22. I smoked years ago and quit using Nicoderm CQ. If I remember correctly it's a two month program. If you only smoke a pack every few days you could start out on step two and it would only take about a month to quit. It really helps calm your nerves while eliminating the habit.
  23. Make sure you are drinking your water. The water is what helps flush the fat out of your system. Also make sure you're eating enough food that your body is not in starvation mode.
