Stallings normal. I saw where someone said that weight loss on a chart looks more like stairs than a slope. I had the bypass lost the first 2 weeks and I've been stalled since. My Dr said to up your Protein and Water when you stall and it should help break it. It didn't really help me but it may help you.

I had diarrhea after mine and then it eventually went away. You probably still have gas in you that's causing the chest pains. So walk if you can and take the chewable gas x. The cherry cream ones taste like cough Syrup but the hospital had mint that were so much better. You're also supposed to be taking sips of Water not gulps so maybe that's why. I had a timer set on my phone to go off every 5 mins to remind me to take a sip.

I'll be a month on Thursday. I lost the first 2 weeks and haven't lost anything last 2. I wish it was only 5 days. I did lose 40 something lbs though!

I've done hot packs and cold packs neither worked. I had it popped and it felt better for a little bit but then eventually came back.I had back pain as well. I used an ice pack for a couple days and it went away.

I'm the same way. Sweets aren't my weakness bread and Pasta are. So even when I'm allowed to start eating them I don't want to. I feel like it would make all this pointless. I'm not even 3 weeks out yet I will be on Thursday but I'm not on the pureed diet anymore.I don’t know. I think all bread is something I want to avoid but when I tried the egg white psyllium husk bread it tasted more like egg than anything so that might be ok. Will it crisp up at all on a sandwich press? Or is there anything low or no carb that will? I want to avoid carbs and bread. It will be in my best interest I think.Sent from my moto e5 plus using BariatricPal mobile app

Did anyone else start feeling this? It's been a little over 2 weeks since my surgery and the last few days my back has started to hurt. I never had real bad gas pain after surgery so I don't think it is that. The pain feels like when I was in highschool and I went up two cup sizes.

All they wanted was the negative test results and then I was cleared with that.
I've actually been real good. I've had no problems drinking/eating. Only a few gas pains and pain in general.

My dietician said the Garden of Life Raw Probiotics are the best to take. They're on Amazon. I've never taken them so I can't say how they work good.

I did the antibiotics which took two weeks and then I had to wait a couple more weeks before retesting. I was negative and then cleared. I had my surgery done on 6/6.Have you took care of the situation that they were concerned with? Are you close or still not able to pursue?

The hospital gave me the chewable ones. So those are the ones I bought too. If you do go that route the Cherry Cream tastes like cough Syrup so go with the mint. The gas x strips everyone talks about are impossible to find. I am guessing they are discontinued.

When I get into my car my butt will knock the rubber seal off the frame of the car. So I'm definitely looking forward to not having to deal with that anymore[emoji23]

I gained 6 lbs right before my surgery and freaked out. I had been told the same about delaying the surgery and I was doing the same eating all the food I wasn't going to have again. All my worrying was for nothing though. I was honest before I was even weighed that I was going to be heavier and they told me "you wouldn't be here if you didn't have a problem and could do this on your own."
So I wish you luck and hopefully your office was as forgiving as mine.

I had gastritis and h pylori. The gastritis they said they could treat after the surgery but since they had to treat the other they treated both. I wasn't able to be cleared then due to other reasons but they said they couldn't submit to insurance until I was cleared.

If it is I've messed up lol. I think they we're okay as long as you're not chewing them and swallowing pieces.Wondering if its ok if i suck on sugarfree mints or is that a no no in the first stage of liquid diet? Also does gum really put air in your stomach or is that ok to chew? Sorry cant keep calling the docter with my dumb questions!!! [emoji4]
My Dr said that you can swallow air but the main reason he didn't want gum chewing is because it can cause a blockage if you accidentally swallow it. Then followed that with a wait 6 weeks if you're not going to listen anyways.

I only packed my charger, a little extension cord, headphones, deodorant and a change of underwear. I wore sweats to the hospital and that's what I planned to wear home. The only thing I ended up using was the deodorant and the change of panties.
They put me in my room at 10 am and I didn't turn my phone back on till midnight. They were giving me IV pain meds and I was in and out all day. So I didn't need the charger, the headphones or extension cord. I wore their slippers to walk in and took them off when I got back in bed. They gave me Gas X, face wash, a tooth brush and tooth paste.
Good luck with your surgery!

My nutrionist recommended it but never mentioned anything about mixing it. I'm drinking Protein Water mixed with some collagen right now so I'm curious.

Where do you buy yours? I bought a pack of the vanilla and the chocolate at Walmart before my surgery but that was all they had.I’m not a big fan of the powders, but I LOVE the Premier Protein drinks. Every flavor I’ve tried so far is great: Cookies & cream, banana, caramel, vanilla. Yum! Definitely something to be excited about
The vanilla I didn't think was bad but the chocolate one was kinda hard to get down. So I thought I'd give the others a try.

I have an Rtic 40oz tumbler. I love how it holds temperature whether it's hot or cold. It fits well in cup holders and a huge plus is it doesn't sweat!

I'm hoping the one on my thigh doesn't end up over my knee. I considered taking it further down my leg but not like this lolI have a tattoo on my hip/upper butt that I got in my early twenties that I'm hoping doesn't end up in the middle of my butt after I loose more weight! Like you I'm not worried about my ankle tat. By the way, I've been wondering about you and if you worked out the problem you had with your endoscopy clearance?
On Wednesday I got a call from the surgeons office asking if I was ready to schedule. I asked about the clearance and she said she didn't know since she's in a different area but the insurance had approved it.
So I have my pre-op on Thursday my nutrition and hospital class Monday and tues and then I'm having surgery next Thursday!

I was looking at pictures on Google and noticed that the colors really changed when their skin wasn't pulled as tight. I have a paisley pattern tattoo that's all black and I'm scared it's just going to look like a giant blob lol.**laughing at myself** I had a tattoo done when I was in my 20's. After weight loss, my tat is smaller and more colorful.

After talking to my Dr I had to do a seminar then they call to make an appointment from the surgeons office after you complete that. They require 6 months of weigh ins and if you miss one they will make you start from the beginning even if it's your last appointment. So make sure you go.
-psych eval
-dietician eval
-history and physical done by primary
-labs
-cardiac clearance
-gi clearence. This one wasn't a normal thing I was already seeing him so that's why it was required.
-support group agreement. That was done when I was given all my paperwork.
- no drug or alcohol clearence letter from primary
- 2 years of primary care records
- a nutrion class
- a hospital wellness class
After they get all that they submitted it and it was 2 weeks later I got the call to schedule. Then 2 weeks after that I had my surgery. I had mine done in Modesto.
