DON'T WAIT! My surgeon is 4 hours away, but I drove there yesterday for a very small unfill. Made all the difference in the world! I was living on cheetos and slurpees because they went down easy. Now, i'm back to solid Proteins and just so releived that I can eat and drink how I am suppose to! Good luck to you!

Thanks! I lost 6.5 lbs in 2 weeks and he was concerned. I ended up having 2.5 cc taken out and I felt an immediate difference. Hopefully it wont be too much out. I have an appointment in January, just in case I need a tad more put in.

51 grams is too much at one time. Your body wont be able to metabolize it. Its much better to get in about 25 or so every few hours.... so says my dietitian.

I was first seen by the surgeon in October of 2007 and didn't get my surgery until April of 2008. I had to see 16 different specialists for testing before the surgeon would proceed with the surgery! It's hard to wait when you are ready to move on with it, but try to be patient. It is well worth it in the long run!

I'm not a big fan of Protein drinks either. I've found that if you mix vanilla powder with your favorite crystal light packet, it can be tolerable. Also, I've found a fruit punch powder that I mix with a wylers fruit punch packet that works too! Good luck and let me know if you find anything new to try!

I hear ya! I had been taking the same anti depressant for 5 years and earlier this year, it started making sick to my stomach every night. My band surgeon said it had nothing to do with the band, but my primary said since I was fine before it HAD to be the band! We never did find out what it was, so I have been trying to switch to other antidepressants but so far, everything makes me puke after a certain dosage. That said, it isnt getting stuck... just makes me sick. I'm frustrated and irritated by the whole situation... I get tired of docs blaming the band for everything... sigh...:hi:

Sounds like swelling to me too. Last week, I had the same problem eating and drinking and I would pb after everything I ate of drank. My nurse said I should do two days of warm liquids, and that helped TREMENDOUSLY. I still think my band is too tight and am going for a slight unfill today, but the heartburn has gone down so much! YAY!

I've heard cheese is just glorified fat, but I happen to think cheese is a healthy snack, if eaten in moderation! Can't give up my cheese!

How much did they take out? I'm going to drive to El Paso day after tomorrow to see my surgeon for an unfill. Its a 4 hour drive each way, but I am having a hard time getting much down. I hope he doesnt take TOO much out... just enough so I can drink more liquids! I'm sooooooo thirsty!

Thats really not too shabby! Some people, like me, lose slow. I've been on this roller coaster for 2 1/2 years only losing 92 pounds and its been a rough ride... although I wouldnt trade it for anything!

Since my last fill, I've made very good friends with little plastic baggies! I save everything for the next day's meals! Yesterday's orange sounds pretty darn good! :thumbup:

I've been at it for almost 2 and a half years so cut yourself some slack! I've had 14 fills and am at 8cc in a 10cc band. You are still in the healing phase. It will get better once you reach that level of restriction that works for you. Try not to worry, I use to feel just like you-a failure. I lose weight very slow, but I've come to realize that thats ok. Everyone is different and as long as we dont give up, we will make it!

I think i'm going back to my doc next week cause I cant get down more than a few bites and it takes me alllllllll day to get down 12 oz of tea! I think I may be too tight...

Yeah they are a chew-able enzyme tablets that helps break down what ever is stuck. They take about 5 minutes to kick in. I get mine at Wal-Mart for about 5 bucks a bottle. They sell them at Walgreens too. In the Vitamin section.:thumbup:

Papaya pills are a blessing if you do get stuck. I keep some with me always!

True, it is a lap band 'no no', but I feel a treat is ok now and then... as long as it doesnt become a habit AGAIN. :sneaky:

I hear ya on the boobs thing! OMG! Not only have I come from a DD to a C, but they are saggy baggy and downright nasty! :sneaky: If I bend over they practically hang down to my knees!!! ACK! If they get anymore deflated, I may be able to sling them over my shoulder when they get in the way! HA! :drool: Thank goodness for foam padded bras!!! :w00t:

Ohhhhhhhhh... I feel your pain! I hairsprayed the top of my hair and went to use my hand to air dry it and discovered I have HUGE batwings! Heck, I could have slapped whoever was behind me! ACK! :w00t: My aunt asked what I was going to do about it and my answer is to never wear tank tops or clap over my head! :sneaky: I guess I'd rather have batwings than them all full and plump with fat. I guess it comes with the territory! Ha! :drool:

I had popcorn at the theater last week and I am super tight. I didnt have any problems whatsoever. Of course it was drenched in the butter flavored oil... shhhhhhh... it was a treat! Of course everyone is different!

I had .5 cc for my last fill for a total of 8.25 in a 10 cc band. Think he can take out about half? ...or would that even make any difference?
