    Food Before and After Photos

Exactly!!! Salad is great, lots of nutritional value, low cals, etc but is it best to practice eating small still? Should this only be done after your goal is met? Can it open the door to overeating again? Too many questions lol Looking forward to the advice 😊 I do that too with all my meals. I try to stick to protein first then veggie second if i have room. I just switch this rule up with salad. I do veggies first then protein because I noticed my leftovers were too soggy and I didnt like it so food would go to waste. Lol thanks! it was delicious!

Question: If I can eat a whole two cups of lettuce + other veggie in one sitting, should I do it? It seems like salad is the only thing I can eat a lot of as long as I dont touch the protein.

The Social End of WLS is wacky

I figured this would happen so I decided to not tell a soul except for my parents and boyfriend who I know I can trust. The comments I've been getting are: wow, you look good, what are you doing? is everything ok? are you sick? you don't seem like yourself... why aren't you eating? Work functions are the worst, especially when there is food involved. I notice people tend to try to get me to eat now. Coworkers will say "one slice of cake wont kill you, just have some!" They're more concerned about me eating vs pre-op. Pre-op i didn't touch pastries or cakes, i would usually be sitting there watching everyone else eat but thats only because Im not a sweets person. No one tried to get me to eat because they knew i didnt like it. Now coworkers are forceful and aggressive. I dont get it smh. It almost seems like they want me to fail or something.
  5. I have this scale too and i love it! I use it on the daily along with my measuring cups

    Tracking food

Im not sure if the app works on a samsung but I use Carb Manager. Another popular one is My Fitness Pal. Personally I prefer Carb Manager because its very visual and organized.

Southwest shrimp salad from Chili’s. There’s no after pic because after a few bites I found a huge blonde hair in my food. Decided not to get a new meal and instead make my own shrimp since that was all I really wanted. No leftovers ate 3 ounces.

    Today I have realized...

I had the depression too for the first month or two. I was crying everyday wondering why I did this to myself and asking myself why I couldn't just lose the weight the natural way. My recovery was worse than the average and that didnt help the depression either. Eventually the feeling will go away and you it will all start to make sense. Its probably hard to see that now but trust that you will be more than ok.

    ❄DEC 2019 CHALLENGE❄

Day 4: I don't really have a bucket list for this month. Overall there are a few things I want to do but I guess i need to think about it more. Day 5: Meditation for me is prayer. I did do some of that yesterday while I driving. I always feel a weight lifted after prayer. Day 6: I'm hoping to go to Starbucks after work. I could use a very berry refresher B-Side Question: What minor things send you for a tailspin? Being put into a situation where i have to rely on other people.

    Food Before and After Photos

So yesterday was a bad eating day. I wasn't really hungry and I barely made it to 350 calories. Today I woke up starving! I didn't pack a lunch the night before because I thought I was working from home so I ended up buying out. I ordered two enchiladas chapinas. Its similar to a tostada. It has a ground beef /veggie stew on top of a hard corn tortilla plus lettuce, a generous of cabbage and beets relish with a tomato sauce on top. Sometimes they even throw a boiled egg in there but mines didnt have it. Anyways I ordered two thinking one will be for lunch and dinner today and the other for tomorrow. I was shocked when the woman handed me the food. These things are MASSIVE! They are suppose to be the size of a regular corn tortilla but my goshhhhhhh. I think im going to have food forever! The picture doesnt do the size justice but maybe seeing the last pic will help. They gave me this big a*s bag because this sh*ts too heavy.

I'm in no position to give advice because I am currently losing and I'm also a newly sleeve patient. I can tell you that I've spent a good amount of time on this forum and I've learned a few things from the vets: Food logging is vital! I've noticed that the ones who maintain years out are still logging their food. They're able to see what they are doing wrong if there's a gain and catch it quick. Basically they have more control of their weight. I've already accepted the fact that Ill most likely be tracking for many, many, many, years lol. Keeping up with your appointments is just as important. I've read that a lot of maintainers see their surgeon once or twice a year just to check in. What @FluffyChix and @catwoman7 said! I see a lot of maintainers weigh their food still and eat as if they are still losing (protein, veggies, fruit/good carbs in that order) Lots of maintainers weigh themselves on the same day every week. I've also read that some even weigh themselves everyday so that they can control any spikes in weight gain. Maintainers are doing some kind of physical activity every week or more. Once again I am in NO POSITION to give you advice so please don't take it that way. These are just my observations from reading this forum. I'm hoping to observe and learn more so that I can be just as successful as them at keeping the weight off. Obesity is a disease and it should be treated as such, constant thought and action for the rest of our lives.
