    My progress

well done with the 12 pounds!!! I had the Lap Band put in so slightly different but I made a friend in hospital someone who had the sleeve and it has been great as we both went in same day and able to spend the few days after walking the halls together and we text nearly daily with updates of new information we find out about ourselves. There will be days where you wake up and feel great - and no issues or anything and there will be some days where the body is not feeling it and to which you may feel you're going backwards. being 3 weeks out, definitely listening to my body has been the biggest lesson! and my sleeve friend has found the same too. Both finding some days we aren't hungry some days we are - She has found she can tolerate pasta some times and some times she can't. Take it as a positive that you're feeling normal and doing everything right by what has been advised people are more likely to post issues than complements too don't forget
  2. I find putting in a lime helps me heaps, and also sugar free cordial if it is days that I'm really struggling to drink. I have had to change my drinking habits completely as i was one who would skull water and drink at night heaps too. so my body is not interested drinking on 'my' terms at sipping so these things are helping me a bit

    Trust (potentially) Broken

Thank you!! I know i did it for myself and my reasons of health etc. The ways you said to put it tho are perfect and seeing her Thursday so it will be perfect to use those lines!!! Defs feeling that if thats the case i was the friend that made her feel better about herself sort of thing - am also jumping the gun but just the few things said have me in self doubt because it isn't anyones story to tell haha

    Trust (potentially) Broken

Thank you DeeberLee, just found the post and you're right that i did this for myself and for a better self too!!! Just how to deal with someone else finding out from said person. it would ruin the friendship etc but end of the day it is my choice and lifestyle and i will be looking great after it Still not sure how to handle this friend if how she is feeling etc with the comments and reactions with/if others finding out

Lap band January 2019 surgery date

I had mine done on the 14th of Dec and So far really appreciating this tool (I know it is like coming into week 4) For me i didn't have (or need) the other options and given a few other medical issues / history this was the best option for me. I have family friends who have had this and they stressed the importance to keep maintaining and listening to your body to not cheat the system!! I have had a few things where it has been a learning curve (like i drink way too fast and need to slow that down) and eating too fast too - i use my phone to time and i talk more when out between and listen - you learn so many tricks to make it seem more 'normal' because it is like teaching yourself again how to eat and drink If you have any questions feel free to reach out and best of luck for the op!
