  1. Hello everyone, it's been a while since I've been on here. The last time I was here was sometime in April, I was almost 4 months postOp and about 6 or 7 weeks pregnant. Well for those who wonder if it's possible to go through the whole pregnancy while still trying to loose weight, the answer is YES! I am currently 33 weeks pregnant and my baby is doing extremely well. As for my weight, I'm pretty much still at my goal weight, plus or minus a pound here and there. But I haven't gained weight at all. Surprise, right? I am too. My baby now weighs just over 4lbs and I'm nesting like crazy, busy preparing nursery and awaiting his arrival. Feel free to ask any questions related to being pregnant and going through weight loss, and I'll do my best to answer. Oh and thank you to all of those who supported and encouraged me back in March/April, I really appreciate you all 20190914_144736~2.jpeg

  2. I have been trying for ten years to conceive before surgery I have pcos I'm only one month post op but even with the risks am hoping to get pregnant maybe not very soon but hopefully just a question did you have fertility problems before hand? Congrats by the way

No dear, I never had fertility problems. I've had 4 kids already, so this is my 5th baby. But goodluck to you dear, hope your wish comes true

  3. Hey there. First congratulations. Second I’m in a similar situation. 8 months post op and coming up on 6 weeks. I’m still in shock. Although I haven’t hit my goal weight, the weight loss has stabilized. Im planning on continuing to eat healthy and exercising to minimize my weight gain. Doctors recommended no more than 15lbs which is okay with me.

Obviously this was not planned but is welcomed none the less. I pray you have a safe and stress free pregnancy.
Thank you so much and congrats to you too... No, definitely not planned but definitely welcomed. I have my first official OB appointment on Tuesday, so let's keep the group posted on our journeys and progresses [emoji12] [emoji12]

  5. Congrats on the new baby!!! That's a wonderful thing, even if the timing isn't as ideal as your doctors might have preferred (hey, **** happens, right???). In the end, there is nothing more important that children and being good mommies and daddies--which also means we need to be taking good care of ourselves. I am sure you've heard this all before, but you really need to work closely with your surgical team, Ob-Gyn and your nutritionist during this pregnancy. It's going to be a big challenge for your to get in the calories you need for your growing baby and to keep your weight down so after you have your little one, you don't have an extra 30-40 pounds to lose. You can do it--but it's going to require a lot of extra work on your part. You can still exercise your @ss off during the pregnancy and sticky to a healthy diet created by your medical team (really stick to it!!). It will all work out well in the end! It's going to great if you put in the effort!!

Lol yea Steve, ish happens 🤣🤣🤣. You've given me one of the best advices I've heard on this platform, and you're funny too. Thanks again, I'll be sure to really listen to my medical team. 🤩🤩

  6. Congratulations. Life happens when we are planning other things. Like others have said follow your nutritionist, and doctors orders . You will probably be placed in the high risk pregnancy category but don’t stress about it.

Be safe and if you feel off no matter what follow your instincts. You know your body no one ease can tell you how you feel.
    Thank you Kim [emoji1374]

  7. Congratulations!! I have not experienced this before but I know MANY women who have been pregnant and not gained any weight, some that were overweight even loss. I would definitely talk to your nutritionist and your dietitian as you want to ensure that you are getting what you need for a healthy pregnancy. I would think that with a healthy, balanced diet, proper Vitamins and exercise that you can have a healthy, successful pregnancy with little to no weight gain. Please keep up posted. Again, CONGRATULATIONS!!
Thank you very much, I will definitely keep ya'll posted. Thanks again for the advice, much appreciated!

And I too know many who got pg before the magic 1year mark and had healthy pregnancies and gorgeous babies. I also know normies who were mo and delivered healthy babies and lost weight through the pg. [emoji4] So cheers. Just don't lose focus, it's more important now that you stay sharp and follow your rules given to you by your team!
