No, I'm not allowed them until mushies which is still a week away but I had to get something in and I figured that was the safest bet. I have my follow up appt tomorrow and I'm planning on confessing my scrambled egg cheat!

Holy cow! I just sneezed for the first time and think my insides exploded! Just a warning to anyone who's a baby bandster...the first sneeze is a doozy! :confused:

I was going to see a different surgeon that was closer to home until I checked out the state licensing board website and saw she had 2 law suits both settled for a Million....I didn't go to her. I found someone else. I have to drive a bit farther but i'm okay with that. I was banded on tuesday and so far so good!

I have a big huge ball of burp sitting in my stomach and it won't come out. I take gas-x and feel good for about 5 minutes and then the need to burp comes back. I walk around and the burp tries to come out and gets stuck. It isn't painful but it's not a good feeling at all! My surgery was Tuesday so I'm 4 days post op. I get little burps but I need a good BELCH!! Any hints on how to get this ball of gas out of my body?

All seems about the same as me!! If you'll pat my back, I'll pat yours! See if we can burp each other!

I'm along with you here!! So hungry but I'm not really enjoying eating or drinking, it's uncomfortable. My stomach is growling like crazy and I can't tell you how much I want a hot dog (of all things!) For dinner I scrambled an egg and ate about half of it. I feel less head foggy...

My post op diet has so far consisted of sugar free Jello, Sugar Free pudding, Crystal Light Popsicle, chicken broth and now Campbells Soup At Hand Tomato. Of course EAS Advant Edge Protein shakes too but I'm wondering what else I can add to make this liquid diet less restrictive. What did you eat post op?

How long did it take you to poop after surgery? I'm going on day 3 and still no poop. I pass gas so I know everything is moving but I'm really starting to worry about the lack of poop. Thanks in advance and sorry for the TMI!:smile2:

Anyone have the hiccups and it hurt like hell? Anyone have a large incision? Burb after any liquid? Do you feel worse the next day?

I'm super nervous and HUNGRY!!! I don't know how you all survived this liquid diet for 2 weeks before the band! I'm sure hoping it's easier with it!

I'm a smoker. My surgeon strongly discourages smoking but will still do the surgery. I will not be smoking the day off and we'll see how I feel the day after. I understand the benefits of quitting and I've tried but with my nerves the way they are...not a chance I'm quitting before surgery...which is tomrrow!

My surgeon doesn't really require a pre-op diet except for 2 days before. On Sunday, I have to eat a bland diet and Monday liquids only. I'm so excited and getting alittle scare!

I just can't believe it's 7 days away! I'm not really scared about the surgery, I"m scared about after. Am I really ready for this? If I'm asking myself this question then I must not be, right? But I've read so much and I think I know quite a bit but am I really ready? I want to make a life change becuase I want to be healthy. I want to be more active! I want to look at picture of myself with out being disgusted with how big I am. Is this normal? These questions and doubts? I'm totally excited too but I can't help but have that flutter in my stomach that is afraid to find out what happens after the band?

So far my list consists of Protein powders, popsicles and sugar free Jello. What other things will I need? What did you need that you forgot? Help! I can't believe it's only a week away. It's surreal...

I went to my pre-op appointment today. I met with the nutritionist and she went over the post op diet but there isn't a pre-op diet? I asked the surgeon when I saw him and he said 2 days before eat a bland diet. And the day before a liquid diet. Is this weird? My band will go in with no fill. I won't have a fill until i'm on to mushies at the earliest. No overnight stay I'm getting the Realize C band I have the barrium swallow before I can go home That was about it. I'm so excited!! Less than 2 weeks! :thumbup:

Hi and Welcome!! I lurked for a LONG time. Posted rarely and then became more active on here when I actually started the process. My surgery is scheduled for the 26th and I'm super excited! I am also in for the long haul looking to lose 113. My journey has only started and will be a life time long. I just can't wait to live life as a normal sized person! GOOD LUCK and WELCOME!!

I'm so happy to see other people doing this and still succeeding later!! I find that I'm actually eating less because half way thru I feel guilty! I have my pre-op appointment on Thursday and I know with the holidays I've gained every last one of the 12 pounds I lost. I'm afraid to get on the scale!! I love this board and thank you all for supporting each other and me! It's so nice to know, none of us are alone!!!

In preparation for my pre-op appointment on the 14th, I've been reading all the Surgery Stories and notice that a lot of people end up staying overnight. I think that I want to stay overnight the day of surgery. I added a poll for anything who just wants to quick answer but i'd love some info too. Why did you want to or not want to stay? If you did NOT stay, do you wish you would have? Was it an option? Thanks for the info!

Hello?? Anyone here? 31 year old, gay mother on one. My partner and I have been together for 12 years. Our daughter will be 3 in less than two weeks. We have two dogs and a house in the suburbs. Shannon (the hersband) is a petite 130 lbs. She loves to play softball and be somewhat active. I like to play ball as well but i'm too heavy to really play anymore. Anyone else??
