Diane - I realized it was AU, not UA as soon as I wrote it!! Auburn is a great school - I knew a lot of people who went there!

As soon as I wrote University of Arizona or Alabama, I realized it was probably AU - I have a cousin who graduated from Auburn - great school!

I love the name and logo for shrinko de mayo!!! Good job! I've decided that whether you are a May Flower or a Shrinko de Mayo, it is just great to be able to go on-line and meet new friends who are in the same boat as I am!!! I love reading about all of the success stories and hope to be able to add mine soon! As far as adding the logo to my signature, I have no idea how my husband did it!!!! I have heard a few people talk about ProtiDiet, where do you buy it and do you buy the DaVinci syrups at the grocery store? I'm new to this whole thing and am looking for places to stock up before my May 22nd date. I only have 3 days of liquids before surgery. coffee syrup sounds good too, might taste like a mocachino! Hi Diane! Thanks for the welcome! Had my psychological visit today and it went well! Yeah! I told her about this great site and she will be telling her future banders about it! So much information to learn and read about. Next week is the nutritionist. Is UA University of Alabama or University of Arizona? :biggrin2:

Thanks everyone for your comments! What I have learned from LBT is that each doctor has their own set of guidelines to follow, from the number of days for liquid during pre-op to drinking during meals. I thought I read somewhere that I couldn't drink 2 hours before meals and after meals and then I had to sip my fluids, I can live with not drinking 20 minutes before and 20 minutes after a meal!!! I guess I will become one of those people who is always carrying around a Water bottle to sip from!!! Had my visit with the psychologist today and she said that it is unrealistic to think that I will never be able to drink liquids with meals. Like in Pirates of the Caribbean, it's more of a guideline than a code!!! I am just trying to learn as much as I can before being banded! :party:

I feel a little bit like a party crasher! I am having my surgery on May 22nd too! Is anyone having their surgery in Los Angeles? I have my psychological visit tomorrow - yeah! My doctor is only having me do three days of liquid diet before the big day! Looking forward to it with excitement and a little bit of nervousness! Terri :wub:

Hi! One thing that kind of freaks me out is if you will be able to feel the port all the time or will you just forget about it after a while? I know it has to heal, but once it does is it always noticeable?

Hi all! I am scheduled to have lapband surgery May 22nd and am just looking for other people to talk to and answer some questions I have. I am not telling anybody (except my husband) that I am having the surgery, but that may change as I get closer. This is all new to me, so here goes!:smile:
