LaurynLove my dietitian told me to eat at least 1000- 1100 calories a day. And to drink 64 oz of water I get about 850 calories in on a good day and 56 oz. And that is tough. Also I work out 45 mins to an hour a day so the food gives me energy. And I am 5 weeks post-op. I eat every two hours I can say with me eating like this I am seeing the scale move.On 02/19/2019 at 19:44, LaurynLove said:
A little help please! I'm 27 days post-op. Today I got in about 800 calories/106 grams of Protein. Anyone think that's too many calories? I'm asking because I have yet to see the scale move this week. Side note: I'm doing horribly with Water just 30 ounces of Water today but I'm guessing all Fluid counts.

I did the same thing the other morning I had a boiled egg and all of sudden I started sweating and a lot of saliva in my mouth. I started gagging over and over again nothing really came up but I felt so bad for most of the day. I had to take a pill for nausea. I said that I am so done with eggs I have tried scrabbled and boiled.

Treza make sure you do everything your surgeon and team tells you. And take one day at a time you will do well. I had surgery on 1/15 and I have no regrets I am doing well and healing well. The first couple of days were rough because my allergies flared up and I was sneezing and coughing I thought I was going to die. But I am doing so much better! On 01/26/2019 at 12:34, Treza228 said:

Yes it looks awful.On 01/21/2019 at 14:12, Frustr8 said:
May be a reaction to the anesthesia they used or hormones starting to release from your fat as you go into ketosis. Probably looks worse than it is! -
Ladies, I have a question I am 6 days out and I have lost 8lbs so far. And it is getting better by the day but I have recently broken out in a rash all over my body. Have any of you experience this after surgery? I called my surgeon’s office today because I am not itching just wanted to see if this is normal.

Don't double think it I am 2 days post-op and so glad I did it. I have a great team that is taking of me. And that has made it a great experience my surgeon is the Best!On 01/16/2019 at 00:58, carolinafirefly said:
So, I guess you are my people. I'm having bypass on the 21st after spending the last year thinking I'd get VSG. Ah, curveballs. The last-minute change has made me a little unsettled, and I'm having so many second thoughts despite knowing that I really do need this surgery for multiple reasons now.
I saw a few of you scheduled for 1/21, too, but I don't know if any of you are getting RNY that day. Doesn't matter, you're all my surgery twins anyway.

I am six days gastric sleeve post-op and still in the hospital. I ended up being one of the rare cases where I had internal bleeding and almost died about 12 hours after surgery. They had to go back in, suction out all the blood, and re-cauterize everything. I also needed three blood transfusions. I’m finally off the IV fluids as of today, and if my hemoglobin levels are steady tomorrow morning, then I finally get to go home. Any other horror stories, or am I the only unlucky one?
