Cathy I have descovered the South Beach Pizzas... I cook it in the oven instead of hte microwave and they are really not bad!!! And I hear ya on the scale thing... the only thing is I would have to have someone else hide it cause if I knew where it was it wouldnt matter

You my dear are by NO means a failure!!! You had a set back... you still have your band and in a month you get a do over... maybe all you need is less aggressive fills.... or who know what but you still have your band and you are still 30 pounds down from where you are... do not let this discourage you!!! We are here for you and you vent away!!! Prayers and best wishes with you, Kim

AJ- dont frett too much... I put a couple of pounds on while on vacation too... as soon as I got back home and got back in the swing of things they came right back off and I am back in the right direction... I go in for a fill on monday so I am going to wait until then to post an update of weight lost. I do a day of the atkins shakes a day before and day of fill just cause they did so good for kicking in the weight loss on the pre-op diet :biggrin: 3 days of those got things kicked in good with last fill so... we will see

I bumped into the bariactric coordinator for my surgeon at the walking trail Friday nite... I told her that if I was gonna get "caught" anywhere that was where I wanted to be It just happened to be nice enough to go walk outside that night... the rec center is nice and air conditioned!!! I actually went in public in a swimsuit on vacation to a Water park and I think the time logged in on the eliptical machine helped me be able to climb all those stairs to get to the top of the water slides... God love our kids they didnt care that they were with their obese mother in a swimsuit just that she was climbing those stairs and going down the slides with them... it was so much FUN!!!

Throw it away??? Blasphemy!!! Hammer and a nail and you got new notches I'd seriously save it one day you will be able to loop it around you at least twice

well officially down 35 pounds .... 8 pounds in the last 9 days... I have been getting in 80 mins cardio to help make up for next week while we are on vacation cause Lord knows I'm not exercising those days, sure we'll be very active.... but....

you know its funny I should be at 35 pounds down tomorrow and I am seeing a difference in how my pants fit in the thighs but still snug in the tummy... not loosing very many inches off the waiste... I just have to remember that my 2 pairs of jeans that I had that "Fit" I had to really struggle to get into because I refused to buy any that were bigger... and those are finally getting loose... has anyone else noticed that tight pants on the tummy is very uncomfortable... my port is kinda low though... hhmmm enough rambling

I did liquids the day of on my own... but dr puts his patients on 2 days liquid, 2 days mushies, 2 days soft foods, then real food again... I did the same thing I did for my pre-op... 5 atkins shakes a day plus Water... It helped get me jump started again... I had been stalled for a week... then 3 lbs in one week!! yay... and now im to real food for the first time since my surgery... Pork loin was GREAT!!

I have noticed that since I have been walking ... when we go to a store I just take off and everyone is asking what my hurry is :ohmy: Just fall into my pace... it's nice not to be the one lagging behind!!!

It's "funny" how anxious we all are to be LOSERS!!! well funny in my head anyways :ohmy: slow and steady... chipping away

Diva it may depend on the size of your band... I have a 10cc band... had a 3cc pre-fill and only got 1 cc for a total of 4 Doc said straight up he likes to take it slow and easy so waited 6 HUNGRY weeks and then 1 cc then another cc every 4 or 5 weeks there after... so it's gonna be a fun summer I have a feeling.... still on the slow losing pace though so guess all is good... chin up girl

Wow what a day!!! I am not sure how yours works, but with my surgery everything done in the 90 days following surgery is covered so not even a co-pay for the 2 week visit or the fill yesterday... Maybe you can get lucky enough for yours to be the same way?!?! And there is still plenty of summer to get in the pool :tongue_smilie:

Well at my 6 weel apt... and scheduled fill I was at 27 pounds lost... Dr. and coordinator were happy with my progress... I've been stuck for a week... while bloated and crampy :confused_smile: so I guess it's all good... Officially under 250!! Woo hoo

Woot... I'm filled... it was not bad at all... My dr does it under X-ray and there were some ppl in the room gettig trained (or med students) and everything was getting explained... They located the port and then he had me push out with my stomache so he had something to push against to find it and it took him a miute to get the needle in the port... it was weird I could feel when the needle was pressing against the port :smile2: He pulled out the 3cc prefill ad added another cc.... so I have 4 now... He also has you drink some water.. and swallow barium under x-ray so he can see it go through the band... He likes to be conservative ... so 1 cc every four weeks... and 2 days liquid... 2 days mushies... 2 days soft... then real food I go back on August 18th for second fill I also have a new work out buddy from work... she is about 5'3'' and has 0 body fat.... but we met at the rec department and I did an hour on the eliptical machine... tomorrow we are doing 20 mins cardio and resistance training now that I am cleared for it... Cleared to start donating blood again too... so Platelet appt on Fri :confused_smile:

HOLY COW can this day go any slower??? I get my fill at 3!!! I updated the list as best as I could... I have added a few that I have seen on other posts as well... If anyone notices anyone who is missing or on another thread that I have missed please feel free to edit the list or pm me so I can ok is it 3 yet??? Only thing I am not looking forward to is weighing in while in the middle of my period :cursing: ugh... that month off of my birth control pills messed up my schedule!!! but no blood clots!! woo hoo

Long2bThin I hear ya!!! I have been craving Taco Bell and my DH took girls there and got them dinner and I was so ready to go get some on the way to work since I am gonna do liquids tomorrow and then will be on liquids for 2 days following my fill but my day had a monkey wrench thrown into it and I could not make it... funny how God works huh :biggrin: I was set for that last meal b4 the fill though!!! Old habits I guess
