Well broke the stall...by eating like crap for 2 days, go figure...
Maybe I need to up my calorie intake?

I’m in the same boat as you and I just figured out I needed to up my calorie intake too. Hope it works for you and me both 🖤

Did your surgeon or dietician give you any guidelines re soda? Some do, some don't.

The thought is that the carbonation can make the much reduced stomach feel gassy and bloated, some also say that the gas released can stretch the stomach.

Yo be honest i had surgery in Mexico didn’t get many instructions. I’ve kinda just been learning on my own and using this site to gain some info. Highly considering a nutritionist now.

I am an athletes as well and spin and ride horse so am an athlete as well. I feel good at 70-80g of Protein now and 600 ish of calories . I am losing almost 2 lbs a day so something is right !😊

I do about 13k steps a day and stand 8-10 hours at work. Constantly moving. So I naturally thought eat less calories and burn more.

No worries! I didnt have any either, and my nutritionist was basically like "try to get in about 400 calories and dont have more than 1/3 cup the first month. And I was STARVING due to how active I was, and faint feeling. I found this chart on one of my Facebook groups and had an ah-ha moment. I showed my basic mealplan to my nutritionist and she was like "of course thats great!" Thank God

Sounds like I need a nutritionist 😩 no one has told me any of this. I also want to do it safely yet quickly. I have found that I’m scared to eat calories but with this new information I need to rethink my eating.

Yes, you are doing great. But if you are stalling at this point, you might want to look at your overall caloric intake. If you aren't getting at least 800 cals a day, your body probably is in preservation mode. Check with your nutritionist!

You’re right. I thought of that too I don’t have a nutritionist. But I will start using MyFitnessPal pal again to monitor because I think
You’re right. I’m sure I’m no where near that.

To echo what everyone else has said, you're doing great! You should take your measurements—when the scale isn't moving it can be helpful to have these to show that even though the scale isn't moving, that your measurements are changing.

You’re so right I am having a bunch of non scale victories. I think measuring myself would help me feel those little victories even more. Thank you 🖤

You’re not doing anything wrong...do a search on the site for stalls, it’s normal what you are going through right now.

You’ve done well and lost a lot of weight in such a short time, congratulations!! keep following your plan, the stall will eventually break and you’ll start losing again. I wish you the best!!

You’re so right. I guess I need to just let go of my expectations of this miracle loss every week. Just hard because the first month was so amazing. Thank you so much 🖤

  9. Hey everyone. I am 6 weeks post op. I did great the first month losing 28 pounds. But I am not losing any weight and I’m scared and frustrated. I’m at 32lbs and have not moved. I even think I gained 2 pounds. I have only been drinking Protein Shakes for the most part. Some times I eat eggs when I can stand it. But Protein shakes seem to be the only thing I can handle. Especially since back at work. I haven’t gone to the gym yet but I’m on my feet at work for 10 or more hours and I walk on my 30 min lunch break and have been doing exercise videos a couple days. Do I need to exercise more ? What am I doing wrong. 😩

The only time I have difficulty is when I’m drinking. If I try more than a sip at a time it hurts. I just wanna chug water!

Yes. You don’t realize it until you can’t chug. Ive been struggling with drinking. Getting my Water in. Just because you have to do it so slowly. 😩 I feel your pain

Hope you all start feeling better. I’m five months out from being sleeved and I remember in the beginning how tender you have to be to your new tummy. It will get better and easier with time.

Thank you I do too. It’s more painful going down not the actual tummy once it gets there I’m fine. Lol I actually think I’m just not chewing enough. 😩

I'm 3 weeks post op and my program cleared me for "exercise" at 2 weeks post-op. The surgeon suggests AND recommends just doing brisk walking or elliptical, but nothing too strenuous until 4-6 weeks. Remember your calorie intake is pretty low and your body probably not used to it yet so don't go crazy. I walk 45 to 60 minutes on the treadmill every morning and I've done well with that until he tells me I can do more.

BUT....I would call the surgeon's office and ask anyways, just to be sure.

Thank you ☺️ You’re right honestly bringing the groceries in the other day after walking around the grocery store for an hour felt like a lot for me I got super nauseous And winded. I think easing in is a good idea. At least for me

I was required to start walking as much as possible immediately after surgery. As soon as I could, I got up to at least 30mn/day. When I went back to work 3 weeks after surgery, I started doing at least 30 mn on the treamill. I'm hoping to get cleared for real exercise at my 6 week appointment next week.

Yes I’m excited to go exercising I had some weight drop pretty fast and I’m just ready to see what I can push my body to do! But I’m also still lazy do there’s that lol and this not working thing is not helping.

My doctor told me that I could start exercising right away. I couldn't do a lot, but I did take laps around my apartment building with my dog the day I got home from surgery.

Wow that’s amazing. I felt so weak and fragile after surgery lol.

im 5 days post and same thing scar left side above belly button.Mine hurts only when i stand up but this morning it seemed a little better. My instructions say just look fot any redness, drainage, foul smell, fever. But I saw somewhere that the left incision is where they take your stomach out.

Yes that’s exaclty what mine says. Hope you feel better soon too 🖤

  17. 19 hours ago, Frustr8 said:

Might be nothing more than extra stabilizing stitching there. If it was your stomach removing incision, it would be your deepest weakest point, they may have double stitched so you wouldn't herniate internallym If so , they usually pop free once you're healed enough. You're still less than 2 weeks out, give it say a month, oh keep an eye👀on it but 8 to 5, you'll be COOL.

Thank you for the info. I got locked out my page somehow lol but I am definitely keeping an eye on it 🖤
