  1. Hello. I had my band removed nov 14 as I was converted to sleeve. I had about two years smooth sailing and got to my goal weight. After two years it apparently slipped. Every time I ate my chest tightened up I started to sweat and felt I’ll. They removed all Fluid and I got s bit of relief and stop vomiting at least. I’m still perplexed how it went from being amazing to bad for me. It helped me so much and was upsetting. I did have the option to have doctor go in and fix it but he said it could possibly slip again and I have same issues and suggested I converted to sleeve. I was apprehensive about it. But, he made valid points and he removed it same day as sleeve. I do not know for sure if it was my weight lifting putting too much pressure or a bad cold I was coughing heavily but for me unfortunately it moved and out a world of hurt on me. I preserved for two years in discomfort pain every time I ate or drank. All I can say if you are having issues have it removed now because it does not get better. Are you at your goal weight and maintaining?

  2. I had. And done and loved it lost 100 pounds unfortunately it moved at 2 years and dearth with it for w long time then has it removed and did the sleeve. Doctor said he could go back in and secure it again but I thought if it moved first time why wouldn’t it move again! Agsin this is what happened to me all are different. If you are having great success that is awesome and don’t let anyone take that from you. You will always hear bad and good on the surgeries. Many fail at the band and instead of taking responsibility for it they cut it down. Do what your doc tells you and you will be fine. Who knows exactly why mine moved? Doc said heavy weight lighting I do, maybe it was when I was really sick and coughing for days. No one will ever know. What I do know I enjoy that 100 lb weight loss and I’m on my way yet again. I won’t give up

  3. I’m about same age as you. Athlete all my life. So why am I so fat? That’s for another thread at some point. Anyway, no diabetes, no pills nothing. The doctor said if he didn’t see me in person he would think from all my bloodwork and results he would picture in his head someone who looks like my parents or sister but not me. Sigh. Anyway, I was scheduled right away because I paid cash. I did a 7 day ore survey change. 5 days Protein Shakes with soy milk 3 per day and last two days I did just Water. After 3 days of the Protein shakes it was incredibly easy to drink water. I’m somewhat off protein shakes now lol. I had the surgery nov 14. I’m down 23.5 now. I’m totally pleased with my decision. I want to look like my brain feels. Eventually getting older and carrying this weight caught up so I felt like if I wanted any other life then sitting around I needed to do something. I had pain first few days. I did have band 4 years ago did well on it but it moved. So I decided to have it removed and have sleeve done. I started with sleeve at 256, I’m 233 today. I’m doing my sipping and my liquid purées Soups right now. Next week I start on outer foods. Good luck!

  4. Yes autumn that’s what I was told by doc. I followed everything to the tee for band. Quick recovery never issues for two years. I was active CrossFit lifting ridiculous amounts of weight. I had to shell out another 15k cash for Sleeve so I wish the band worked for me ):

  5. Great! That has been my problem all my life. I would “mess” up one day and spend the next three months punishing myself gaining more weight. My roommate size 4, body fat 11. She pigs out like no one business but the next day she is back to normal. That is something I’ve never had but that is the difference between her and me. Having this surgery has taken the hunger away thank goodness. I love how we can all share on Here. I’m surrounded by in shape people so of course they can’t even imagine what I’m going thru nor would I care to share lol.

  6. You are fine. See that is our mentality though. I do the same thing. I would mess up one day eating and self sabotage myself for. On the on end. “normal” eaters such as my roommate pig out one day and the next day they are back to normal. Your stomach will not stretch after just one over eating session. It’s like s niece right you have to work it out over time to get bigger. Don’t have remorse enjoy the delicious food, just tomorrow stay strong and move on!!

  7. First of good luck!! (; secondly being overweight to me is worse the sagging skin because at least you can hide the sag. Being fat you can’t conceal it. As far as being scared last minute off course! But just think positive thoughts and truthfully after you drop 20 the first week you will be so grateful! I’m 7 days post op now and feeling so pleased I went thru with it. I had canceled my first surgery date the week before. I’m like I can do this on my own. Then I ordered Chinese delivery and opened the food etc and there was silverware for 4. I’m like omg. I called the next day and booked surgery again fir nov 14 and I’m so pleased I did. Good luck

  8. My nutritionist sadly isn’t very good, shame really. Nothing about calories hydration, so reading these sites really help me. They did give me a packet I’ve sifted thru. So what’s the caloric intake per day.? I’m drinking 48 oz so far a day on day 6. I’m on strained Soups and yogurt. Any help will be appreciative
