I have a tip I’m hoping will help someone.. I Hate the stupid daily injections of blood thinner post
Surgery... But my husband did some research and when he puts an ice pack on the area for several minutes to numb it first, I can barely feel the injection now and I also don’t get the Huge bruises from it like I was in the hospital. I’m only getting a pinpoint bruise now and much less anxiety about the stupid things! Good Luck!! 👍 -
Gas X is the most wonderful thing for that pressure feeling. I called my Dr. it’s what they recommended to me. Hope that helps! On 12/17/2018 at 11:49, byeninja said:
Not really doing too well. Whether I drink or don't drink I have intermittent chest pain that feels like someone is squeezing me right in the middle of my chest. I talked to my doctor's NP this morning and her suggestion was that I take my Percocets. I've been avoiding them since I wasn't having constant unbearable pain. I feel like my pain is being dismissed and I have a bunch of errands to run before I graduate on Wednesday so I can't even take the Percocet 😑. Here's to hoping things get easier

I’m so excited! I moved from all clears post-surgery to clears + Protein drinks! The Protein Drinks make me feel more normal again. #LifeIsGood 😊🎉

Hi batty! My doctors told me one of my anti nausea patch’s side effects is blurry vision. They told me never to touch the patch without washing my fingers because of it got in my eyes, it would dilate them. Hope that helps! On 12/15/2018 at 11:15, batty_vsg said:
So I am 3 days post-op and feeling a little better this morning than I have. I went to bed last night with a huge Headache, but was able to take one TENSION HEADACHE (caffeine + tylenol - my NP said I could take it - as long as it doesn't have asprin in it.) That knocked it right out.
I'm having a little bit of an issue with my eyes focusing on stuff. I don't know how else to explain it, but things seem a little blurry. Is it because of the lack of calories? I don't generally have issues with my eyes (no glasses or anything.) Anyone else experience similar? I managed to get 64 oz of Fluid last night and around 50oz of Protein. I am going to email my NP to see what she says, as I do feel okay right now.

Thanks Philly! I’m home since yesterday! I do feel much better each day! I’m able to go upstairs without discomfort, which was unexpected and great! Water will be a BIG focus today. As I still had an IV most of the morning yesterday, I stayed hydrated no problem. Today I’m just planning on continuously drinking small sips. I hope all is well with you Philly and everything goes super smooth!!On 12/14/2018 at 21:59, Phillysawdocfan said:

SCP what did they give you for pain? Just wondering if Tylenol will cut it? Good luck
I have dallatd (unsure of spelling there) and an anti-inflammatory I will try to ask the name. They alternate them every 3-4 hours. I also receive 2 kinds of sublingual anti nausea because I very clearly communicated that I have zero desire to throw up, LOL! Feel free to ask me anything you wish. 😃👍 -
Had surgery on 12th! The first couple hours were suck-ish. But once I got up to my room started feeling better with meds for pain and nausea. I’m glad I didn’t throw up. No nausea right now so I hope it stays that way! The nurses have been responsive and great! I’ve walked many times, which is important to move out the gas. All in all a very positive experience so far! 💙💚💛🧡

Eggbeaters with herbs and veggies have been a saving grace in the evenings to keep me feeling satiated. You can do it! Good Luck to you! 👍On 12/05/2018 at 23:08, Jed J said:
I’m self paid and they are requiring that I do a two week liquid diet. Im three days in and it’s not great. Day two was the hardest so far. We will see how the rest goes, surgery on the 17. I will say having an app like my fitness pal, or something like that is helpful. Not only is it liquids only, but there are Protein and carb requirements as well. Getting what you need Protein wise without going over on my carbs was a bit tricky. I feel like I have it figured out now, but I wish I would have spent more time planning a head of time.

I’m being naughty and skipping the company Holiday Party tomorrow... too much food temptation while on this 1000K pre-op diet. I start liquids on Sunday, which I am nervous about as an ovo-lacto Vegeterian. I only have 3 full days of that to get through prior to my surgery on Dec 12th. Any suggestions?

You know how kids pants have adjustable elastic waists with buttons? Well, I bought some of the elastic (it came with the buttons) online and sewed it into the waists of my pants 👖 works well! 😉 So Happy for your awesome loss! 👏🏻
