  1. So it’s been a month since surgery. I’m down 20lbs. 🤗 but some days I poo a little and then I’ll poo a whole lot and get stomach pains. Then booty hole burns. I think it’s from acid or gas, idk. Anyone else have this??

  2. I am so excited. I have my pre surgery consultation tomorrow. They needed to move it up from Monday to Friday so I'm good with that! Gave me a tentative surgery date of the 18th!!! I can't wait.

So they asked me to start on the diet now that is supposed to shrink my liver. I see a lot of ppl talk about a liquids diet only before surgery but they asked me to eat only dairy, meat and nuts.

I can't wait to see what they say tomorrow in my appointment. I'm so ready!!!

Hm. I asked my surgeon about my anti-depressant and he asked about how big the tablet was. I gave him an estimate (it's a very tiny pill) and he said due to the size, it should be okay to take. I don't really have any other choice, it's definitely something that I have to take.

In my opinion, they do not suggest pills during initial post-surgery because your stomach is healing and there is limited space. I've never heard of not taking birth control prior to the surgery. Is it possible for you to ask your Nurse if its okay since the pills are generally small?

Well I'm okay with not taking the birth control pills because my husband is away on business a lot so I'm not too concerned lol but I was concerned about taking Excedrin for Migraines. I think I will call though and ask the purpose of no pills. I'll let you know what they say.

5 days after surgery I was walking 5k slowly with my dog, 2 weeks after surgery was clear for the gym only slow cardio training, 1 month after surgery I was clear to start doing a little low weight training nothing that envolved using my abdomen for strength , 3 months after surgery I was completly cleared

but I strongly recommend talking to your Dr before trying any of it

I didn't even think about not doing exercises that involve the abdomen. Thank you! I will for sure check with my Dr. I want to make sure I get started in the gym as soon as I can so I can build a routine and habit of going.

We all had that. I definitely know I did at least. But looking back I was thankful I had the lull in between because it really made me prepare.

That's true. Give me more time to get my diet in line. But to be honest, I kind of wanna eat all the sweets I want now before it really has to change. I gotta change my mentality.

I am almost to my first goal of 175 (10lbs away!), and I am a week shy of 6 months out post surgery. I have lost 75lbs since surgery, and 102lbs since starting this process in March 2018. My weight loss has slowed significantly over the past month in comparison to the previous. I was averaging about 10-14lbs a month, and am now down to about 5-8lbs a month, but it is to be expected as I am closing in on goal. Additionally I kicked up my workouts significantly, so despite the numbers coming down slower, I feel better and the sizes are dropping off me like crazy! (Not so good for my wallet, dropping $300 on clothes every month because the consignment shops near me suck!)

You will loose best the first few months, but as long as you are sticking with your plan it will keep coming off.

That is so great though. I am so happy for you. For a woman, feeling good in your clothes is an amazing feeling. Congrats!

For me it was 6 month I lost 120 pounds, I’m going to the gym 5 times a week also I practice jūjutsu 3 times a week so it was really fast now I’m trying not to lose anymore weight which I never thought It would be posible

keep eating right and go to the gym regularly you’ll get to your goal in no time

How long after your surgery were you able to go to the gym? And were you able to do a full hour of exercise??

Hi there! There are so many different powders and supplements to choose from, and a myriad of different opinions on what's best. I myself use multiple different powders depending on what I am making. I use a few different isopure flavors, including unflavored that I sneak into random things I make. When I make my morning shake, I will usually use Delicious Dream french vanilla, or Isopure Dutch chocolate.

I also have a few pea Protein options that I use for more savory things since I think it has a less sweet taste. For example when I make my spinach, flaxseed, nut butter and almond milk shake I use this one.

In addition to the powders, I've used Premier Protein RTD drinks (predominately caramel or chocolate) to add to my daily coffee. Honest those RTD shakes helped me reach my Protein goal very shortly after surgery, but that won't be the case for everyone.

I would also highly recommend protein waters. I've personally used Premier Protein Clears (20g Protein), Protein2o (15g protein), and Trimino (7g protein) and I alternate depending on what my daily need is.

I've never heard of protein Water. Does it have a taste?

    Hello everyone!

I was approved a few days ago (after only waiting a week) and received my surgery date for December 12, 2018! I chose this date out of the few offered to me because I am currently in college and I will be able to finish up my classes prior to the surgery (which was a huge worry of mine.) It's about two weeks before my birthday too!

Anyone else scheduled out in December?

I am! I go Dec 10th for the all day consultation thing and then in 2 weeks I should have the surgery. I'll get the surgery date on Dec 10th. I'm excited and nervous!!! It's a lot of pressure to lose weight and do the right things after going through surgery to help you lose the weight.
