I had the same thing. I usually break the drinking rule and take a sip when I am finished with meal. It helps me burp and it seems to help tremendously. But only a sip! Hope it helps!I've heard that everyone has a tale when they are full - from sneezing, hiccups, runny nose, etc. I get this awful tightness in my chest and then pain. Sometimes it takes my damn breath away it's so bad. Is it always going to be this way?

Hang in there it will come! Believe me it will start to melt like you are a snowwoman!!! LolSorry that's happened to you, I'm kinda glad I'm not the only one. I've been stalled for 10 days now (started 3 days post op) - it blows my mind. Having it happen right after surgery is the worst, that's right when we could really use the motivation of seeing the scale drop

Well we are here for you whatever you need ! I am also newly sleeved and ir is a tough path we chose! Good luck and ask if you need anything,My only support system is this forum and a FB group. My mother is adamantly against this surgery (which I recently went through with) and my now ex bf wasnt understanding. I kicked him out last week, one week postop, yay. I live alone. It's me, myself, and I. And I've had complications, so I am coping alone. It is what it is. Didn't do this for anyone but me so... I don't need anyone else but me.

Thank you for the info!I was in a car wreck last year and have all types of scars...surgical and from injury. I used ScarAway pretty early on most of my surgical scars and things have healed quite well. I'd recommend for use on anything. Here's a pic of what I used. Also, here's a pic of my wrist that I had surgery on to fix broken bones...left pic is right when I started using the gel and 2nd pic is today, however, the today pic is roughly how it looked ~4mo after using the gel.

Hi Matt I have a pixel and it tracks well if you have it on you! I also have a fossil watch and a ticwatch s and they work like a charm! I am a huge Google Dan and they can do a lot with lots of other apps to connect data! Garmin is good but a Water proof one is best!Looks like the Pixel has had the ability to do this for a while.
Google is your friend.

I here you Lulu . I just had my surgery on the 7th and the pre op diet was awful! No I am on full liquids and I also realize the pain of my love of food for comfort. Believe me you will not be hungry but you will see food on TV or in person and think that would be awesome. Then realize liquid can taste just as great if done well! If you need help or encouragement? I am your guy! This journey is just stating and we can do it!Hey everyone. New here. My surgery is this Friday Nov.16. I had to do a 10 day liquid diet, no sugar, no carbonation, Then 3 day Clear Liquids before surgery. I just have to say I didn't realize how addicted to food I was. I have dreamed about food like never before and even to this minute consider cancelling the surgery because I'm so scared of being this hungry after surgery. I use to smoke and one day I decided I would never let anything have control of my life like cigs did. I would be in control at all times. I through them away and never looked back. I guess my eyes where not open to the fact, food had control of my life. So now I just need some support some motivational words to make it through this hurdle and take control. Cigs I never have to look at again but food is a necessity which makes it that much harder. Thanks for being here everyone.

Thank you for the info. It is much appreciated!Congrats!!! You'll do great. Less worry, more excitement! [emoji3]
I did drink by the clock/timer on my phone. [emoji4] You'll do it and feel surprised at how quickly you assimilate and learn the new habits!! No worries!!!
Also, less is more at the hospital. [emoji4] I packed a brush and a toothbrush in my purse. Literally and took a pair of "disposable" cheap slippers in a plastic bag. Then threw em in the trash when I left. Cuz I didn't want C-diff or MRSA coming home on my shoes. [emoji4]

Search "what to pack" for threads on that topic, lots of people overpack for surgery.
Search for "Stalls" and read up on those, you WILL experience them, best to get ahead of that ball of stress and understand it happens and it's normal.
Not all pre-op diets are for liver shrinking, but a good 99% of us have had to do some form of pre-op diet.
Google "Log Roll" and "Log Rolling" for a great method of getting in and out of bed when you have had abdominal surgery. Very helpful for reducing pain and stress on those incision points.
Thanks for the info Matt! I am off to surgery in the morning!
