Thanks for the input. I am gonna try to have t least 6 meals today and see how it goes. My doctor says to have 5 meals a day being 3 meals and 2 Snacks all below 200 calories and 5g of fat or less. I eat 4-5 times and feel hungry, I think I need more because I wake up at 5am and go to bed at 10-11pm plus walk 50 minutes on the treadmill. I'll definitely try the 6 meals or more today...Thanks

Thanks, do you eat every 2-3 hours? I feel I do better if I have 5-6 small meals a day too.

I have the sleeve too. They have us eating 6 mini-meals a day (couple of ounces) so I'm rarely hungry. If I am, I just eat a couple bites of yogurt or drink a couple ounces of Protein Shake. It's totally normal to be hungry. Some people are, some people aren't with the sleeve.

Well, bub, there are a lot of fat people on here and many reasons that make it harder for people to exercise ranging from not wanting to be fat shamed at the gym, family responsibilities, economics, or a disability like I have. DO NOT FAT SHAME PEOPLE HERE. It's very rude and I reported your post.

Two-week postop tomorrow, even though I had surgery on 10/30 🤷‍♀️ I can’t wait for the ok to eat soft foods since my bday is on Saturday the 10th...fingers crossed 🤞
My surgery went pretty well, I mean since I’ve been home I didn’t need to use the pain killers and nausea meds they prescribed but unfortunately I got asthmatic bronchitis right after surgery and am also on steroids and antibiotics which delays the healing process but besides that I am doing great!
What were the first soft foods you guys tried that wasn’t too heavy?

I am on the liquid stage and although the doctor told me to drink 4oz per hour I can actually do 6-8oz and when I asked him if it was ok this morning he said “if it doesn’t hurt or give you nausea, you’re fine”. So I’m drinking 6-8oz of Water or Protein Shakes per hour and am fine, no pain or nausea.

I too was sleeved on 10/30 and went to bed last night at the sounds of my stomach hahaha. I had a Protein Shake this morning and now I am feeling hungry. I think the sounds should stop once we reach the puree or solid food stage where we can eat more.

Thanks. I wasn't sure if I should put the ointment or not but didn't put it. The hole is almost completely shut so I guess I'm ok.

They took my drain out the day of discharge on 10/29. I was told not to put ointments on it. They said to just let it dry out. I did wash and pat dry. I was told I didn't have to cover it back up after I took their bandages off. My drain incision is completely closed with a scab now and its only been a few days

Got my surgery done on 10/30, had some complications but was discharged yesterday 11/02.
Do you guys put some antibacterial ointment on the drain incision? Also, do you take off the bandage before showering and put it a new one after?

My surgery went well, but I started coughing on the 1st day and by the afternoon my oxygen level was down to 79% and my lungs had a lot of wheezing. I stayed 3 days on oxygen, doing nebulization every 4 hours and my Oxygen was at 83% they were very concerned I had pneumonia or something worse, I got 5 x-rays negative for that so the pulmonologist thinks I have asthma that was never diagnosed. They discharged me with the condition of seeing me Monday to check my oxygen level and do some more tests to figure it out what's going on. I didn't have nausea or much pain, I didn't even use painkillers there and was walking 5 times a day totally independent if it weren't for the respiratory issue. Much better being at home with hubby and kids and although I still having a lot of wheezing I am doing way better.

I didn't have a drain. But when the glue fell off my incisions I did put a little Neosporin on those. Glad you're home now.
