Have you tried Parm Chrisps yet? I get them from Sams Club. They are 100% parm cheese. Nice and crunchy and the serving size is HUGE. Half a serving size satisfies my craving. I did binge on them once and felt so mad at myself until I realized that my “binge” was 130 calories, 0 carbs, & 6 grams of Protein.

Olay so..... Most docs, NOT all docs. This is something that I spoke with MY doctor about before I started. I got the okay. Maybe I should elaborate more. I make a mixed drink with less than a single shot and have yet to finish one. I have not ever gotten drunk since surgery, barely even a light buzz. Because I listen to my body. I don't consume more than 800 calories a day, including the alcoholic drink. I have lost 31 pounds and hit onderland. I have averaged over 4 lbs of weight loss a week. Please don't criticize me and my Journey. You're not me. I'm not fooling myself. I'm not dependent. I don't get drunk. And I'm still losing weight. We are here to support each other. You may not like that I drink, but you have no right to judge or criticize.

I brought it up to my doc on my 2nd post op visit because of the holiday season and he cleared me on alcohol in moderation as well as caffeine. I have a few shots worth every other weekend or so, but i did talk to him about it first. My suggestion would be to talk to your doc first. My surgery was on 10/23.

For crunch Snacks, my dietician allows crackers with a high grain or seed content. They’re not salty snacks per se but you get the crunch.

I haven’t had any alcohol since. I’ve had one coffee since which is a big achievement for me. I used to have one coffee a day for Breakfast and felt I couldn’t function without it. I used to drink a diet soft drink in the afternoon and haven’t had any since.

I've tried tons of stuff from the store. A lot of it is hit or miss. Some stuff I love and other things have been just sitting in my cabinets. What are you looking at specifically?

My surgery was on 10/17, and I've been having hard alcohol and wine in moderation and it hasn't effected my loss. I make sure I put the calories in MFP and just adjust things if I drink. I also keep it very light, never more then 2 shots worth of alcohol at a time (per day) ever. But that is just me

I have been having a terrible time with caffeine. If I drink it it makes me really constipated. My doc said however much coffee I drink it negates the same amount of Water drank. So getting enough water per day is already hard and then having to drink even more to make up for the coffee is almost impossible.

Almost everything I have got from there is Good Good Good. Why enrich Amazon, Wal-Mart.com and the others overstuffed pockets when Alex's Store at Bariatric Pal has good-tasting stuff. My Bari-bud Ellie123 liked the Snacks she purchased THERE!

Yes I have some of them are good and some aren't the Eat Me Guilt Free brownies are okay I just wish they had at least 1gram of sugar but they are moist. Some of the chips are good some were horrible its just like taste testing. I would advice you only order one of what you want to see if you like it then if so you can order it in a bundle.

Hi everyone, I just weighed in on my 5-week post op and lost 18 lbs from surgery day and 28 lbs from pre op diet. I am beyond happy, I had a long stall and finally lost 4 pounds in 6 days! I started this journey with a BMI of 43 and am now in the 38 range which is huge for me. I know is not a lot but I feel way better than I was before...I was depressed, hiding from my friends, feeling a lot of pain on feet and lower back and now I barely feel any pain at all, plus I now am more confident in going out with friends and family...I have tons of energy and am working out every day for 45-60 min. This surgery really brought me back to life. I am also very grateful for this community you guys help me on a daily basis with encouragement and just reminding myself why I am doing this! Thanks and have a wonderful day!

Hi all! I just wanted to share this huge accomplishment! I am almost 7 weeks post op and down 31 pounds! Which means I finally hit ONEderland! I was hoping to get there by the end of the year thanks to my last stall. But O started IF of 16:8 and the stall broke! The weight just fell off like crazy... thank goodness! Let me tell you, between hitting this huge goal (for me), and finishing my Christmas shopping, I'm really in the spirit and looking forward to a great Christmas!

    Good morning 🌞

    Finally, after 2 weeks on a stall I’ve lost 2 lbs 🙌
I noticed I was eating too fast and decided to slow down, chewing properly and cut my calories intake by 100. Now I have 600-700 instead of the 700-800 I used to and I these 100 I cut was just carbs (potatoes and other starchy vegetables).
That did the trick. Now I have 2 weeks till my 6-week post-op and hopefully will lose some more by then.

    Have a great day y’all

What a jerk! You know, you have gotten this far to let an Ahole that doesn't know you tell you these things...I know you felt horrible as I had my share of negative people around and now the feeling but I learned that they can say what they want and it doesn't matter, because you're doing your thing and minding your own business...everybody is different, we all lose at a different pace, there's no ONE fits all here! He should've known better being a doctor...my doctor told me that I have 100 pounds to lose but he also said to not expect crazy weight loss because I don't have a lot to lose and my metabolism is slow...so lets do this, TOGETHER! We got your back! We'll get there, no matter the pace!

Ok so o had my six week checkup today and saw the other surgeon in the practice (mine was out of the country for a family emergency). I was feeling good! He asked me a bunch of questions and then after all of the answers, he basically told me that I had to be lying because I should have lost 30 pounds by now and it's only been 16. I feel like a failure. I'm getting (shooting for) 600 calories a day... realistically I'm averaging around 700. This doctor told me that I had to be taking in 2000 calories a day to not be losing more than I am. I feel deflated and like I've failed. I tried to explain what I was doing and he said he wasn't there to negotiate my diet and that only I know the truth. I mean I lost 80+ pounds on my own before surgery using a low carb diet, I know HOW to do this. I did have a small sliver of pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving. But come on, that hasn't cut my weight loss in half. I will be glad to see my own surgeon again in six more weeks. I saw him last week and he was pretty happy with my loss up to then. Then I talk to this guy. Feeling very defeated.
