  1. I'm curious is there any issue using optifast that is past date?? A lady is selling some
  2. Sounds like an easy process? I'm curious about ASHFORD. I'm looking at RNY BYPASS on the website says $4000 is that the only costs or did you have to pay for Dietician or anything else? 40kgs in 3 months? That's amazing how long was pre-op diet?? I'm leaning towards Ashford as they have their own GP and seems like easy process. I have BMI of 42 plus other co morbidities. I don't want to have to jump through hoops
  3. What was your total costs with PHI
  4. Hello I know it's 3 years but I'd like to know more about ASHFORD
  5. Would love to know more about the whole process with ASHFORD. my BMI is 42. How many appointments are needed to get the surgery date. What costs for each appointment? For the whole surgery was it just the one off facility fee?? Plz reply
  6. Would love to know me about Ashford and did you only have to pay the one facility fee no hidden extras???
  7. Yeah we have access To Medicare if we meet certain criteria and willing to wait a few years on public list we could get free surgery but have to jump through hoops so it's easier for me to get private insurance to get surgery in 12 months
  8. Think of it this way it's a small price to pay for your future.
  9. How many weeks ago did you have surgery and how many kgs lost
  10. Feel sorry for you guys in America I've been told I only need one dietitian appointment before seeing the surgeon and I only got insurance for this surgery. In Australia we have public Medicare but that doesn't cover WLS it covers most everything else I've never paid for a GP in my life.
  11. Don't think of surgery just as weight loss. It's also the to change your whole metabolism and reset your body as well as make sure you have long term success. Losing weight isn't that hard. There's no magic. 7 years ago when everything in my life was great I lost 90lbs in 6 months all on my own. No surgery. I changed my diet drastically and went to the gym 7 days a week. My life was so different after weight loss. People were nicer. Girls actually gave me attention. But of course life happens and I've put it all back on plus 20lbs. So after a lot of research and self reflection I've decided RNY BYPASS is the only way forward. Not only to help maintain weight loss but too help me live longer with no health issues!! If you have the chance take it
  12. Very curious to see people comment their surgery and total weight loss after 12 months? I'm leaning towards RNY BYPASS!
  13. Tell me more what starting weight and end weight and how long to lose weight? I'm a tall man and I'm around 317 plan to be 180 but no less than that!
  14. Yeah I've done tons of research read many forums and feel RNY is the best choice! I've found 3 local surgeons that I'll be talking to soon and see how they approach the whole process before I decide who to go with...
  15. The is why people must do their research. I've spent months reading forums and articles before choosing RNY and I'm glad I have!
  16. 150lbs in what 8 months?? What's your diet like and exercise? I need to lose 140lbs
  17. You work 16 hours a day I feel for you I don't know how you get any time to rest
  18. I don't know why people rush into solids.. you need to stay with liquids as long as you can to allow your new pouch to adjust if you start eating th wrong thing so soon is not good deli meat is processed badly
  19. Aw cute I've always wanted to have twin girls
  20. Yes you're right some multivitamins have very low MCG so be careful
  21. I've just started on cenovis multi vitamins even before in ready for surgery just to try them out. Most people do mention calcium citrate and B12 and multivitamins but I guess it depends on the individual person. I know the RNY means you are unable to absorb much vitamins or calories so the vitamins are life time commitment but small price to pay for a new life and extended life.
