  1. 70 kg today, i dont think this much weight loss this quickly is good but iam now settling down , i suspect a lot of it is muscle loss, you are doing it in adelaide ? Travelling for work 5 days is my biggest challenge and a new wardrobe every 3 months Well that's what I'm hoping for. I need to lose 62kgs sooner the better so I can start a new life and gym regime to start to build some muscles
  2. I know about bigger weight loss etc just curious as to why. Why is it different to RNY
  3. So even more severe malabsorption than RNY
  4. I'm so confused... I've been looking so much into the RNY but then I've heard about DS being even better for weight loss and the only thing I could find on a local doctor website was medlineplus.gov/ency/imagepages/19499.htm I'll have to ask if it is with DS or not or just regular BPD? What do you know about regular BPD? Tnx
  5. Thanks I'm just doing research it's a big decision

  12. I've been looking all over my city. I'm in Australia I've only found one surgeon who mentions BILIO PANCREATIC DIVERSION which I've come to find is the original name for DS? AM I RIGHT or is there a little difference? I was so keen on RNY but now found DS would work best as my BMI is over 40!!?
  13. I've just found one surgeon listed BILIO PANCREATIC DIVERSION and the only Tong close to DS. MY choices are RNY or that. I'm after the best help to lose most weight and long term
  14. All I can find in Australia is BILIO PANCREATIC DIVERSION Is that the same as DS???
  15. BILIO PANCREATIC DIVERSION finally found a surgeon in Australia that has it on his website. I'd been looking into DS
  16. So the BILIO PANCREATIC DIVERSION is just like DS
  17. I'm finding very little details of the true DS in Australia...
  18. I'm still confused myself DS is different to RNY & MGB?
  19. Be very mindful of everything you buy. If it's in a packet out a box is most likely processed so keep an eye on the label for any added sugar or carbs!!
  20. If after my surgery I could live off protein shakes and be satisfied I would. We only need fuel to motivate us and keep us moving so fuel is fuel the way I see it as long as you're getting your protein then VITAMINS
  21. Here in Australia most people I've spoken to have been told to do min 2 weeks optifast protein shake diet liquids only to make liver smaller but others have been told to do longer, depends I guess on starting weight, any weight you can take off before surgery is a bonus!
  22. Rang surgery today here in Australia they said might need one Dietician appointment. And 2 with surgeon before surgery that's it
  23. Think about the end goal. The surgery. The new life.
  24. So you've lost 69kgs since May? 8 months? And 90 is perfect for your height. I'm 6ft0, and my goal is about 82-85kgs but I'm only 145kgs! Well done mate.. Guys like you are my inspiration unfortunately I've still got months to wait before I can have surgery but leaning towards RNY BYPASS
