TWO MORE POUNDS!!! TOTAL OF 31LBS!! WOOOOOOHOOOO!!! I have never been so happy in my life...other than the birth of my children. And to think I will NEVER see those pounds again!!! I went to a buffet yesterday and was able to just take a bite of this and that...I even amazed myself!!...LOL This is going to work!!!! YESSSSSSS!!!! Fran :grouphug:

Went for my postop exam and have lost 17lbs from start of my journey. WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!! Doctor said incisions are healing nicely and was happy with my weight loss.

Don't get discouraged!!! It will all be worth it in the long run. I know how you are feeling but your stomach needs time to heal and having liquids is the best way. I used to have jello and broth and sf popsicles. I am a stomach sleeper myself and it took almost 2 weeks after surgery before I could sleep on my stomach. As a matter of fact slept for almost a week in the recliner because it was more comfortable than the bed. Once you see the weight melting off of you, you will be happy you made the decision to have the band. I would do it in a heartbeat again if I had to choose. Have a great day!! God Bless!!! Fran

Weighed in this morning and stayed the same. I started eating regular foods so I was prepared for a gain but staying the same is good for me!!! Yeah!!! Fran

Today is 3 weeks post-op and I am down another 5lbs!!!! That's a total of: 29 lbs!!!!! I am soooooooooo ecstatic!!! 29 lbs gone forever!!!! I feel like this is all a dream....is this really happening??? Pinching myself...OUCH!!! YIPPEEEEE!!!! WOOOOOOHOOOO!!!! FRAN

I weigh myself once a week, on Monday morning. I got my lapband on a Monday and I want to keep the consistency of weighing on Monday. Guess I am anal that way....LOL!! Fran

Sounds like that would be fun! I get home by 12:30pm and I am off from work on Friday and Saturday. I wanted to go to the support group meeting at my doctor's office. I was trying to find others in Henderson who would want to carpool. All depends on if they had their surgeries with Dr Atkinson or Dr Soong. A social gathering would be super too!! Having others going through the same journey.

SWCC is Surgical Wieght Control Center. That is the office of Dr Atkinson and Dr Soong. They have support groups there at the office and I think they are twice a month. I would like to attend at least once a month for support of others who have had the surgery with these doctors. Have a great day!! God Bless!!! Fran

HI EVERYONE!!! I was banded on the 19th of MAY and my recovery has been great!!! Went for my postop and have already lost 17lbs since consultation...wooohooo!! I live in Henderson and plan on going to the support groups at SWCC. Is anyone going? FRAN

Taking one day at a time as if it was the first day after having my surgery. I NEVER want to see those high numbers again and it feels too good to see the numbers dropping. I love my band and her name is Looooooosssssiiieee!!! LOL GOOD LUCK EVERYONE AND GOD BLESS!!!! FRAN XOXO

That is funny that you named your band. Me and another woman who had the lapband surgery done last week named our bands. Hers is Lily and mine is Loooooosssssiiieee...LOL By the way I am 54 and I am so happy that I was banded and would advise anyone who is looking to do it .....DO IT!!!

Walk...walk....walk.....that's the key!! I am sooooooo happy that I decided to do this!! I would recommend it to anyone who is thinking of having it done.

I lost all the weight from the time of the consultation with my surgeon.

I thought the same thing and believe me you will know you have had too much. Its amazing how it works. You WILL be happy in the long run.

I was banded on 5/19 and thought the same thing you did. One of my friends had been banded and was back to work in 5 days. I am just starting to feel better. The gas will subside as long as you walk, walk, walk!! That is the key. I had terrible gas pains in my chest and shoulders and once I started walking it helped tremendously. I also asked my friend what she did when she felt nausea. She told me to take be whiffs of pepperment tea...actually open a box of pepperment tea and take big whiffs....it actually worked!!! WAY TO GO LEXY!!! I was banded on the 19th and had my bouts with GAS!!! Just keep walking as much as you can. I thought I was going to die with the pains in my shoulders and chest but once I started walking more and more they have subsided tremendously. WELCOME TO BANDSTER LAND!!!....LOL. WE WILL DO THIS!!! I am feeling great other than the darn gas!!! I still have the shoulder pain once in a while and the chest pain is a killer. I sip everything and as long as it is warm it feels good when I sip it. Pain subsides and then Im okay. If that is the only thing I have to worry about I will live with it. I was told it eventually goes away. I hope it goes away before I have to go back to work on the 1st of June. Any feedback is appreciated!! Have a great day all!!!
