Paragirl . . . My first fill appointment was at 9:00 this morning. I think I saw you at the center. Come walk with us. I won't be there until probably Tuesday of next week, but surely someone else will be walking. Good luck! Leslie . . . Let me know how the Y goes. I may join that. I'd been thinking about joining a gym, but this may be a better option.
  2. Oops. I originally posted in the other forum. I won't be walking this afternoon. I'm running behind on packaging my merchandise for the Cherokee gourd show. Hopefully, I'll see y'all on Tuesday of next week.

Doesn't look like I'll make it to Darton tomorrow. I'm running behind in getting my merchandise together for the Cherokee gourd show this coming week. I probably won't be able to walk again until a week from this Tuesday. Yall have fun.
  4. I should be there by 5:15. I just didn't want you to think I wouldn't be walking if for some unknown reason I wasn't there by then. Let's just go for 5:15.
  5. Forgot to bring my walking clothes with me today. I might run a couple of minutes late, but I will be there.
  6. The walk was great today. Come on out everyone. I don't think that anyone could be more out of shape than me. If I can do it, anyone can. The walk is just long enough to be beneficial and not too long to be too taxing.

Oneder: I'm going to try walking since it's more fun exercising in a group, but I'm afraid that I won't be able to keep the same pace as the others and I don't want to hold anyone up. My knees and hips usually give me problems when I walk. If the walking doesn't do it, then I'll start riding my bike all of the time instead of walking. I'll see how Tuesday goes.

What days are y'all walking at Darton? What time?

I didn't have the zappy wrist thing. I was given a nausea pill to take that was supposed to last for two days. It must have - no nausea at all.

Would anyone be interested in meeting and riding bicycles? I just got a new one and will be riding it at Chehaw Park. The gates close at 5:00 each day so I have to be there before that. I can ride until sundown. I'm a Friends of Chehaw member so I don't have to pay admission. Interested anyone?

Tiger, I had to fight hard to get my insurance company to pay. I had to get a second opinion letter that the surgery was necessary. I had to meet with a psycharist and a dietician. They still weren't going to pay for the hospital since Phoebe is my local PPO and Palmyra isn't. I got Phoebe to give me a letter stating that they don't have that type of surgery at their hospital. They finally paid as they should have in the first place! Good luck with your surgery. My surgery was April 22 so Tuesday will be my one month anniversary!!!

Thanks. I was afraid that was what the answer would be. I've got a little more than a month to go until the first fill. I'll make it fine. I fought too hard with the insurance company not to! I guess I'll just have to go ahead and buy a bicycle and start riding. Maybe that will help.

Lost 11.3 pounds as of this past Wednesday. That's three weeks on the sugar busters diet and a week post-op. I was well pleased to say the least!!! Now that I'm pretty much over the surgery, I seem to be hungry a lot. Was anyone else that way prior to their first fill? I seem to be eating more than I'm supposed to before I begin to feel full. I don't want to undo what I've lost already. Is this normal or should I contact the obesity center?

OK . . . I have to ask . . . What is PBing? I know that it's spitting up, but what does PBing mean? Can't wait to go weigh this Wednesday. I know that I've lost something, but how much!!!

Got banded by Dr Bagnato on April 22. It's been a long struggle getting to that date. Had to fight a long battle with my insurance company. So far so good except that sometimes I get a little hungry but I try to sip more Water and that usually helps. I see from reading previous posts that there's been trouble getting people together for a meeting. Since I work 40 miles from Albany, any meeting during the week would have to be after 6:00 pm. I'm out of town a lot during the spring, fall, and winter. I haven't hesitated telling anyone about being banded. I figure there may be someone out there that has hesitated about having it done that may ask questions (even though I'm a newbie). At least I could send them to this site. Maybe when any of us go to Wal-Mart we should have a code announced and anyone there could meet at Subway. After all, we all have band cards that we could whip out and be identified by.:laugh: I'm glad that this support group is here. I do know a couple of peopled who have been banded, but I look forward to visiting this site often. Sorry to have been so long-winded.
