  1. I can’t believe I’m now taking meds for cholesterol. I was so sure it would go down after losing weight.

I haven’t lost any weight in weeks. Is anyone else struggling past the 6 month mark? Did I just lose all I’m going to? I need to exercise more but I moved and had to put my elliptical in storage :-(

I thought it was just me. I haven't loss a single pound since April

  2. My before and after 60 lbs down. My health is better and my legs don't hurt anymore when I walk. The weight is coming off slowly but its going. I went for my 6 month check and the doctor is happy with my results. He would like for me to drop another 20 lbs by August. I'm happy I got the procedure done.

  3. I have 23 lbs to goal weight. My procedure was done on Oct 29 starting weight 217 highest weight was 227. I've loss 50 lbs. My current weight is 168. I had a stall for a little over a month. I finally loss 5 lbs at the end of March. I haven't loss any hair. Just normal shedding. I started taking collagen peptides and Biotin drops at 3 months out. Thanks to someone in the group for posting.

You all. We all are doing an amazing job. Keep up the great work.

  4. This past month has been so stressful. I haven't lost a single pound. I have been the same size since Feb 10th. I stopped getting on the scale. I started counting my calories again. I'm only consuming about 500 - 700 per day. I don't snack. I get my Protein but I am struggling with my Water. My doctor wanted me to drop 30 lbs in 3 months. I guess it has to be 2 months now because month 1 was a fail

  5. Had my 3 month follow up Monday. The surgeon says I'm doing good but I just feel so disheartened. I was 238lbs on 10/29 when I had surgery and yesterday I was still 201. I SO wish I could get to onederland! I've followed all the rules, I walk a minimum of 4 miles three days a week (or more), and I'm still following my surgeons 2 oz meal plan. I just really thought I would be further by now. I hate to complain because I am losing (37 lbs in three months) but I can't help but think that if I was working out this much and eating this little before surgery I wouldve had the same results (or slightly better). I don't regret the surgery really, I just regret everything I had to give up for such disappointing results. [emoji53]
I think you're doing great and I think you're on track. Our results are the same. I was 209 the day of surgery (10/29) and now I'm 178. I only lost 31 lbs. I workout and eat right but our bodies just do as it feels. I was stuck in the 180's for so long I started to feel sad about it and then Sunday I got on the scale and was 4 lbs lighter. I had to watch my carbs. My NUT said I should only have 20 grams of carbs per day. I was having more than that. I changed my carbs and 4 lbs came off. Check to see if you are eating to many carbs and if so change it for a few days to see if that helps

  6. Has anyone started to feel pain again in the main incision area weeks after surgery I felt like I was getting better now the pain feels like it did a week after surgery and my surgery was Oct 26th. I just called my Drs office in waiting for someone to call me back because u don't know if u show go to the ER or what. It sorta feels like a burning sensation and when I sneeze it hurts a lot and it only did that right after surgery. Need some insight
I started feeling pain in my largest incision 3 weeks after surgery. The pain still comes and goes. The doctor said it's from my muscle healing from the surgery and the deep stitches in that incision. It would hurt when I cough, stretch and even stand straight up to fast. It doesn't hurt as much now but I will get a sharp pain sometimes

  7. Anyone else having gum probs? My teeth are normally fairly healthy and all of a sudden my gums are bleeding like I’ve never seen a toothbrush in my life. :(. Starting to see gaps between my teeth at the gum line. And I’m only 2.5 weeks out. Tried to do some searching for other posts, but my search of “gums” all came back with chewing gum questions.

  8. Every doctor has their own food progression plan for their patients so I'm not sure if you are eating too much or not but I do know you are not alone in the stall. My surgery date was 10/29 and I haven't lost any weight in 8 days and I'm only down 8lbs since the 29th. It's frustrating especially since my program seems to be one of the stricter ones. (I only get three small meals - 2 oz. - per day and three 8oz. Protein shakes) but I keep telling myself there is no turning back now and eating like this, there's no way this stall can last forever. I asked our nurse about it and she said for the first 4-6 weeks, the body is focused on healing more than weight loss and things will pick back up. I hope she's right and not just trying to appease me for the time being.
We had our surgery the same day. I only lost 10 lbs since surgery. I gained 2 lbs and haven't lost anymore since last week. I'm going to try to weigh myself every Sunday now and not every day. I'm still on stage 2 liquid diet until Dec 4th

  9. Quick question for the masses. My surgery was on ,10/29 and for the most part things are going ok. But of my five incisions, four look great and have no pain whatsoever. My concern is my fifth incision. It's the larger one on my lower right side used for the liver retractor device. It still hurts...a lot. Sharp pains when sitting or standing and especially when walking. My surgeon looked at it Wednesday and said it is fine because the bruising is almost gone, no swelling, no seepage, no redness and it's not warm to the touch. It's just VERY tender. I wouldn't be so concerned if I was still having any sort of pain or discomfort with the other incisions but because this is the only pain I am experiencing and it doesn't seem to be improving I am concerned.
I had my surgery the same day as you. My larger incision still hurt as well. I spoke with my surgeon Tuesday, he said that incision still hurt because it has deep stitches. Mine hurt when I lay on it or if I use my stomach muscles to sit up. Sometimes it will have a little throbbing pain but it not so bad. I'll wait a little longer for it to heal

  10. Well,

I'm having a hard time getting Proteins in. I'm used to eating Peanut Butter, fish, nuts, etc. I hope I can come off this liquid diet at my post op check.

I have officially learned what hangry feels like and my family has paid for it.

My mom told me to stop yelling at her and that I hurt her feelings. You know it's bad when you snap on your own mom.[emoji36]
