  1. The only time someone outright told me they knew someone that gained the weight back was my coworker. Here daughter in law had it, but didn't actually want to have it and was persuaded by her doctor due to medical conditions. She didn't take it seriously and continued eating the same way so DUH she gained her weight back. Everyone else has just continually told me how fantastic how look and "how much better I must feel". Usually some questions like what can and can't you eat. That's about it. No one seems to really give a crap. I have actually heard more stories about people losing TOO much weight and looking ill or actually becoming ill. Many of those stories relate to people transferring addiction to doing drugs.

  2. Do they fit true to size?
Yes. Make sure you look at the measurements. The underwear and bras are the only thing that run VERY SMALL. Everything is true to size. I am a consistent Size 2 in shirts, Size 4 in pants.

In the first second I saw it, I thought they were our boobs and you photo-shopped your nipples off for modesty..LOLOLOLOLzzzzz
But yes, I see it now, they are your ribs [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
Your poor tattoo has been hacked in half! Are you going to do anything with it?
Yep. I have an appt March 21 to get a huge new back tattoo and also to fix the hip tattoo! My headless dragon.

  4. Dang I just briefly pulled up that Shein website. Are those prices for real? Do they get you in shipping costs? Or do the clothes fall apart after a couple washes? There's some cute stuff on there. Thanks for sharing.
They are excellently made! I only had one shirt that tore and it was some fluffy light material. Shipping is free if you spend 49$! I've been wearing their clothes for like 7 months now and every piece has held up aside from 2 or 3 buttons coming off. No big deal. Returns are free too!

  5. Tummy pics? (please?, lol)
Do you find that the skin in the area that connects your torso to your thighs to be tight? I can feel my skin tighten alot there when I push my pelvis forward. Wondering if its just me...
BTW, your recent arm pics are awesome. You got some guns, love em! I've always longingly looked at the women with nice toned shoulders and arms. Even when I was thin I never had toned arms. Things are different now
Nothing on my stomach is tight anymore. I am free of the compression garments, too. Well, technically Tuesday but I bailed a little early. Still going to wear the tummy one during spin class for support. The pics are me laying down... because I am lazy. lol.20200111_114347.jpeg 20200111_114331.jpeg

  6. PS. I bought nearly my entire replacement wardrobe off of Shein. The outfits are true to size even though they ship from China. It is extremely cheap and after you spend x amount of dollars you can sign up to lotteries to get free clothes and special gifts. They are my go-to. My ENTIRE new wardrobe came from them. (okay, and some from Walmart, lol). It's not like most China-cheap stores where everything is cheaply made or miniature. And free returns. I highly recommend!

You look amazing! Not just the scars healing well you look so strong and confident!

Do you feel like you are 100% back to normal? Do you feel tight or have any movement restrictions? Able to lift do everyday things without feeling tightness?

I feel like 98% back to normal, haha. Sometimes if I lift my arms straight up in the air I can feel a little tightness in my armpit. But yoga on Tuesday REALLY stretched things out and it has been significantly improved the last 2 days. It's really not even noticeable. My abs are 100% except I am actually sore from doing my crunches and I never used to get sore before. I was allowed to lift up to 10lbs a few days post-op. Now I have no weight restrictions; just to take it slow. I do my tricep extensions and bicep curls with 5lb dumbbells right now... not sure on the chest press and lat pulls because it's in kilograms and I can't remember what weight it is. LOL. I just remember where the pin goes. The yoga was SO SO helpful in stretching out the scar tissue on my arms. I can't wait to go back next week. It felt so good.

  8. So, update.... I gave all of my bread and crackers to my stepdad. Just better NOT to have it in my house. I will still allow it if I am out at a restaurant... but it doesn't need to be in my home where I can just eat it every meal. Already dropped 2lbs by reverting back to my strict bariatric-friendly diet. I plan on having some falafel on a pita for lunch today - my "bready" treat for the week - going to lunch with a coworker.

  9. My local place has broccoli crust pizza I get on occasion (the one I like is pretty pricey) . I ate some Dominos flatbread pizza for the first time a few days ago. It was good, but I realized it was pointless and I don't *need* it. Since I realized I could eat bread again, I went a little crazy for a few weeks, but I have restarted my strict bariatric-friendly diet and I am already back down 2lbs (I had gained 4lbs). I gave all my breads and crackers to my stepdad and leftover pizza to my friend.

    😳

I did 100 crunches (50 basic, 50 bicycle) yesterday at the gym before yoga. Took me longer than would be typical, and I did less, of course... but no problems today. No soreness. When I got out of surgery, my stomach was as hard and flat as a rock - no swelling or pockets of Fluid. The skin is a little more lax now, but it's still flat.

First day back in the office since arm lift 3 weeks ago, which meant wearing work clothes and a bra (gasp!) all day. The bra was rubbing against my incisions (I had extended arm lift so incisions go down my side to the bottom of the bra line) and really bothered me. When I got home I was nervous to see if there was any visible damage to the incision areas but it doesn't look like it. Not sure what I can do differently tomorrow to minimize the chafing. I'll try adjusting my straps to see if I could reposition where the bra band is hitting my sides. Still haven't shaved under my arms. When I put deodorant on I carefully put just a little keeping it away from the incision. Thankfully it's winter so I'm not really sweating much. Next Dr appointment is this Thursday.

If you're nervous about deodorant, try using a natural one without aluminum. That was what my surgeon suggested in the very beginning, but natural deodorants just don't seem to work for me personally. Can you wear a sports bra? Some cheapo one without any real stitching or compression from Walmart or something.

Nice. Though I've read that the longer you wear them (if you can stand it) the better...?

I have started to grow fond of mine, when I take them off to shower I just feel weird.

I'm itchin' to build up some abs too!! Don't tell my surgeon but I've been doing mini crunches in bed, lol.

    Is your swelling all gone?

I never had any swelling at all. Or raised incisions. I barely had anything come out of my drains, either. I had a blessed surgery. LOL.

@mousecat88 gosh I just can't hey over how nice your arms look. About how long after surgery did the incisions flatten out? Have you been putting any cream or oil on them, and if so when did you start that? I think I read that you had the traditional staples/stitches vs the dissolvable which is what I have. Not sure if that makes any difference in healing or final results. How did you shave under your arms with the incisions? I'm so afraid to do that. I think I may have asked some of these questions before but there have been a lot of posts to sift through. So glad to have others such as yourself who have recently gone through this surgery to ask questions of. Thx for responding.

Yes, I put Calendula ointment on them twice daily. They flattened out VERY quickly. I have been using Calendula as soon as the SteriStrips started peeling off.
My incisions only go halfway down my armpit. I shaved the part I could. Now that the incisions are healed (at about 3 weeks out), I felt comfortable running the razor over it. No issue.

  14. Just had my 7 week followup. One more week of compression garments and then he said I can burn them. LOL.

I have my final followup in June. During which time I am consulting for breast implants, a butt lift, and inner thigh skin excision for October. HOLLLLAAA.

Also cleared for ab exercises! Let the buffness commence.
