  1. Thank you. I just ordered the last one on there cause it said no sugar alcohols. And saw they had orange breath mints too. That were the same. That I’m gonna get for my apron at work. Cause I always worry about my breath. Thank you so much. This sounds like a great fit. Fixes a craving why staying on track. They also have a ginger ale one I found. With actual ginger extract. So it might help the stomach. Without the soda and sugar. Thank you. I can’t say that enough.

  2. @greentealale thanks.
I’ll look for that. It’s more about flavor. And if it’s Water. I’m ok. I’ll check that out.

That’s why I was wanting to make it flat. Root beer or Ginger ale. Like the person above said. Was because I wanted a change. But didn’t want it to be bad for my gut or pouch.

Specifically root beer used to help me settle my stomach. And I saw zevia had one that was vegan. sugar free. Etc. and thought flattening it may help. Perhaps the water flavor version may Do. Thanks.

  3. I have had a CT scan and they said no blockage or issues. My NP knows what’s up. And I have been seen. I follow up in person December 14.

In the meantime I have nausea medication and am just stepping back to phase 2 and only the things in phase 3 that I didn’t feel bad with.

I’ve notice some dipping sauces trigger it. mayo. Mustard. Etc. not in that order.
    And certain textures.

The worst feeling is the food feeling stuck feeling.
But like I said. The doctors I’ve seen said nothing looks backed up or blocked.

I planned to ask my doctor about letting carbonated stuff like flavored sparkling Water. Etc going flat if someone else didn’t know the answer on my follow up.

  4. Worried about the fact that almost every time I eat. Even if I’m my opinion I’m not over eating. I keep gagging or having a food stuck feeling. Then I throw up. Almost everything I eat the past days.

Also simple things like Powerade zero and sometimes crystal light even make me sick or go to the bathroom a bunch. Or have stomach turning.

But I want something different than Water sometimes.

I also drink unsweet tea and occasionally will splash lemon juice or lemonade like Minute Maid into it at a soda fountain. But when I say splash. I mean splash. For the lemon flavor. But not so much that the sugars would make me dump or sick. Although sometimes I still worry about something setting it off.

Other than nausea and vomiting. I don’t recall dumping yet.
And I feel like I’d know.

  5. Can I have zevia sugar free root beer soda, if I let the carbonation go flat? As far as I can tell there is no sugar or bad substitutes that would be harmful.

Unlike some of the ice creams I’ve seen suggested it doesn’t have sugar alcohols in it that I can see anyways.
I was told to watch their intake with gastric bypass by my surgery team.

    I know carbonation is bad.

So do any of you drink sugar free drinks like Coke Zero or zevia once in awhile - as long as it goes flat or at least sits a bit to lose some carbonation. I miss the taste of the stuff and the bubbles too. But I’d settle for a few sips as a treat. Just don’t want to hurt myself or
    Stretch pouch.

Hi folks, I am in the Ocoee, Winter Garden area but I’m just in the research phase, really. I’m registered for that seminar with ORMC Bariatric this coming Thursday, but I haven’t received anything saying where the seminar is held. Could you tell me where that is? ORMC is huge!

I’m interested in the sleeve surgery. Thanks.
    You’ll do great

Since we are on the same plan, I know you should be on full liquids. Also includes yogurt, applesauce, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, pureed fruits and veggies, sugar free pudding and Gelatin. Our guide also says to work your way from 3 to 5 ounces in one sitting. Hope this helps. Congratulations on your surgery!

Thank you. So the only real thing I had that I shouldn’t of was a triangle of pita bread that had hummus on it. Then the cucumber. But I chewed it really good.

It seems I should be okay then. I was very worried.

I saw that those things came up innphase 3 soft foods and thought I couldn’t have them with the full liquids...

  9. I am scared to stretch my pouch. I am on phase two and thought it included soft foods because I mis understood.

I’ve held down hummus. Mashed cauliflower. And unsweet applesauce. Cucumber that was whole that I chewed well. And pudding. Jello. Popsicles. And Gatorade. Water. sugar free kool aid. Scrambled egg with cheese.

Are these acceptable- or do I need to go back to full liquids.
    I’m confused.

As of now I am doing liquids till I see doctor. Unless it’s okay to move on faster.

My doctor’s office has a nutritionist that maintains a “closet” - which is really a room - that people can bring in clothes that they have outgrown and take clothes in their current size. It’s all sorted by size so it’s easy to find the size you need. It’s AWESOME! I wish all offices did this. 👍
I am gonna offer to do this or help run it somehow at my next support group.

That’s such a great idea. So good.
