  1. I wondered about not getting enough food, but I can't for the life of me get in to see the dietitian. I get about 50-60 protein from food and on weight lifting days I add another 20 with a protein drink.
  2. I am also locked in a stall from hell. I'm one year post-op. I've been doing the 16:8 IF. I eat about 1000 calories in my window, and I also work out 7 days a week. I burn between 300-400 calories a work out because I do weights and cardio. I just feel like I should be losing so much more with all my hard work. The Doc says I've lost 70% of my excess weight so she doesn't expect me to lose more, but I want to lose 44 more pounds! I feel like banging my head against the wall.
  3. What kind of results have you all gotten with IF so far? I dropped 4 pounds the first week and then nothing.
  4. Im under 200lbs for the first time since I've had kids!
  5. My revision from band to bypass was approved because my band slipped and I had lots of reflux. I have anthem blue cross

    Pounds lost

I also weigh myself everyday even though I know I shouldn't. It seems like I always lose 2 pounds then gain 1 then lose 2 lol

    Pounds lost

Girl I feel uncertain everyday about if Im losing enough quickly enough. My saving grace has been measuring myself. So when the scale doesn't move as fast as I want, I look at my measurements and know Im on the right track.

    Pounds lost

    10 months and 106lbs down
  9. I went from lap band to rny. Lost about 80 with lap band but it was mostly from vomiting. Band slipped and I gained all the weight plus 20 back. I had my rny. I've lost like 75% of my excess weight. They say you lose a lot slower with a second wls but I've been working my ass off, literally, so I do ok.

    Protein

Should I be adding some sort of protein supplement? I struggle to get to 60g a day. I just don't want to add calories. I average about 600-700 right now.

    Stricture

Sometimes I feel like I have the band still also. I wonder if it has something to do with the scar tissue
  14. I felt so hungry early on also. I thought my surgery must have gone wrong or something because I was still so hungry! It has stopped by now though. I'm pretty sure it was in my head. My brain was like, hey you're SUPPOSED to be hungry right now, get to it! My nutritionist even told me that was the case and I didn't believe her. But now I only worry about water, protein, and vitamins! There is so much mentally going on when we have WLS. It's a battle. But we'll get through it!

    Slowed weight loss??

Yes. It's driving me nuts. But literally everyone on the forums says it's normal. Which is comforting. I think my biggest downfall is comparing my weight loss to others who had their surgery the same time as me. But I have noticed I look better in my clothes and I feel amazing.

Day 1 post Op Band to Bypass

I've never heard that before. Why is it?
  18. Thank you so much! That helps a ton!
  19. I want to try IF. How do I start? I am 2 months post-op and I have lost 43 lbs. However, I've been stalled for 3 weeks. Will IF kick start me?

    Throwing away my bra extenders!
  23. I had the band for 7 years, and many complications. I lost a lot of weight, but I think some of it was because I threw everything up no matter how well or slow I ate. Converting to gastric bypass has been the best decision I ever made. I can eat salad and protein, yay!
