  1. Hey guys! dinner tonight, 3oz filet mignon and 1/3 cup of peas. TMI but, before this surgery, I couldn’t eat much steak. I would consider myself lucky if I went to the bathroom once a week. 10 days would be unbearable. After surgery this all changed, so I’m able to enjoy a steak now and then. I’m much better at #2 now, thanks for asking. 🤣 PS. I had my 2 month post op check up and lost 30% of weight... that’s above average at 20%. Woohoo! Probably all that poop-weight. Ok I’m done. Lol

Apparently online and in person the places you frequent are where you meet people. If online dating isn't your thing, try Meetups. I was hesitant but it worked out.

This relationship is literally minutes old, but I'm just riding the wave to see where it goes, no pressure.

I tried online... hated it. I’ll give Meetups a shot! Thanks.

  3. Hey everyone!! I am over a month out. I get bored on the treadmill/elliptical but i tell myself that they make me thirsty. 🤷🏽‍♀️ My new favorite hobby is trying new foods. I haven’t had any issues yet but every day, I try a couple new things. How is everyone feeling with Thanksgiving coming?

  4. GreenTealael, you give me hope! Lol I’m 35, mom of two and single. Dating doesn’t seem daunting (besides the food part) but I feel like I don’t meet anyone! Where are you meeting folks? I hope things are going well with the relationship!

I took Miralax this morning with 4 oz of warm Water. It worked great. Great meaning I had a BM within 30 minutes. I was back up a few weeks as well. Maybe now my scale will move.

Yes Butterfly, Chrissy gave great advice. My drink of choice is milk of magnesia but Miralax works too. When I take it, I still take Colace because the stool softener is needed.

Tripple yummy looking! I cant' wait!!! I don't know what's gotten into me but lately I've been watching all these youtube bariatric, whole30 and Keto cooking shows. Today I just bought a Instapot and a Air Fryer to get ready to eat again. I'm not craving anything, but just want to eat healthy from the start.

Thanks @llhill! I need to start doing that... I was always a healthy eater and cook for my kids often, but I was nervous about cooking for myself again. I love spicy and I feel like a newborn feeding myself... and what if my belly revolts!? I should follow your lead with shows. I have gone back and forth about an air fryer... they might make me purchase!

Hi everyone. I had my Gastric Sleeve on 17 Oct. I've been home for 2 days now. The healing process is slow, but is getting better each day.

Congrats to everyone on their journey.

Hi @kellyp2003! We have a quite a few Oct. 17th sleevers around these parts. Glad you’re on the other side and healing well!

Hi grapefruit. Yes it was tasty. Today I’m going to try to make black bean Soup and blend that. I’m getting sick of the sweet shakes.

Yes, I’ve gotten on the scale. I should hide it! I’m down 16 pounds since I stayed the pre op diet! I feel smaller and lighter. It’s amazing! I go on Wednesday for my diet post op apt so I hope it’s down even more by then!

Have you tried crystal light lemonade? I find that’s easier to get down than Water. I just put more Water in it than it calls for so it’s not so sweet!

Hey Georgetown! The Protein Shakes (Premier) are sickly sweet, even crystal light, I have been adding plain water to them. I’m pretty proud of maintaining 2 shakes and 20 oz a day of plain water. It is even harder to get down by itself. Other people have said this and I guess you don’t understand until you go through it. I made a Target run with family and I’m glad I pushed myself a bit. I have to go back to work Wednesday (I know, 1 week) and I need to be prepared. I have my first post-op visit on Tuesday. I hope Dr will say that I can expand my foods!

16lbs!!! That’s awesome!! That’s a big pumpkin, or a medium sized bag of dog food! Go girl, way to whittle it away.

I’m having an issue with my BariatricPal advantage Multivitamin chewables... I have to take two and the taste is repulsive to me. I got the mixed berry flavor. I moved taking them from morning to mid day because my stomach was not happy with the grit. The time change is good but my mouth is disgusted. Does anyone love their Multivitamins? What kind are you taking?

  9. Hi all! I’ve been sleeved! I’m currently in my hospital bed. My incisions/stomach aren’t too painful but I’m sure the pain meds I’m on are helping. I’ve been very nauseous since surgery so it’s been difficult to keep liquids down. My blood pressure has been high, an issue that i did not have before. I have to drink 8oz without nausea to be released. Walking has been pretty easy and my energy level is much better than yesterday. I have a huge room to myself and i appreciate the kind nurses. I haven’t made a mess for them yet, fingers crossed that i don’t. I’m so thankful to be apart of this process; it’s been a long time coming. Good luck to everyone and smooth recoveries to all!

  10. @crankymagpie that’s so good to hear! Congrats, you are on your way. As for me, I feel like I’m nesting... picking up a few things for post-surgery, (but not too much!) I’ve found my Bariatric Advantage chewable multi’s to be pretty gross, but we’ll see how it goes when I cannot eat! My pre-op diet is pretty low maintenance. I have a Protein Shake in the morning, fish or chicken with greens for lunch and dinner. No coffee or alcohol. I’ve lost two lbs. lol I’m looking forward to getting this over with with the support of my Mom, who will be staying with me and my two sons during this process. Nervous but excited! I’m happy to hear how supportive your partner has been. 😊 Your Protein and liquids numbers are good, plus exercise- keep it up!
