67 when I had surgery. 68 now. Best thing I could ever have done. Have lost well over 100#,and mobility has improved. Blood pressure better. Surgery has helped me a lot. I do go and have B12 shots once a month and Biotin for Hair loss and nails splitting. I do exercise daily and keep, track of everything I eat or drink. I watch, protein and Fiber carefully.

Had my surgery in Jan. I am 67. All went well. In all 118# lost. Over 80 after surgery. I can eat anything, just eat very little of anything. Primary goals are Protein and Fiber, veggies.I eat very little bread. Very rarely any sugar. If I cheat I have one bite of a cookie or piece of pie. I exercise daily. Floor bike for at east 2 hrs a day. March in place, arm exercises with 2# weights. Best decision ever. Still work in progress. I have the best surgeon and staff. Dr Hanna. He keeps good track of me and they are so supportive. I track food and exercise daily.

I am 68. No problems at all. Slowly losing weight. No food problems,am exercising with floor bike,2# weights for arms.
was quite tired at first but got B12 injections and used b12 Patches. I am 5 months out. My mobility improved a lot.
Water was hard at first but got better with time. I use bariatric cocoa for extra Protein. Use benefiber 2x a day for better Fiber intake. Journal your food and liquids, it helps. Do your vitamins!

Horrible. If you paid surgeon who denied? Insurance? Did they say why? Sounds like surgeon should be able to help you. Sounds like you have a case to me. Do not give up. Fight for this life saving surgery.

Sure sounds like a struggle. Surgeon any help at all? Sounds miserable.

Why? You have lost weight. Are you not feeling well?

I stalled over a month. Slowly starting the downward cycle. 2 bites of pizza not gonna kill ya. We have to adjust to. Lifestyle but we do get to do normal. Concentrate on healthy eating. Watch your carb, fiber and calorie count not a fast journey but one that for us requires journaling exercise and food monitoring . Enjoy your journey. Be positive!!

Yes,told very few people. You have a right to privacy. It still is a hard, long process to health. Some people regard it as cheating. So not true. Do what you feel is best for you. No one needs criticism ,only encouragement!

Same here.guess we just do our best. Under 1000 calories a day and that’s with pushing veg and some fruit. Carbs 30-60 at most a day. It will come I am sure
