Hi there! I see that youre here in Ohio as well, we just moved here 2 months ago. My hubby is AF and we live in Centerville. Who did your surgery? I havent found a band doc here yet, but I have an appt on base to see their bariatric surgeon this month. When was your surgery? Its great to find someone in the same area!

Hi Jamie, I did know I was getting the hernia fixed when I went in, but I had no idea how painful it would be! I have to say though, one week out, I feel so much better. I really have no pain now, had my post op today and all is healing well, I've lost 5 lbs since surgery day, and 6 lbs on the pre-op liquid diet, so I feel good. The first few days are the hardest, get your rest, take the pain meds, and you'll do fine. I can feel my port, and there's a kinda dull pain there, but not too bad. It can only get better from here! Hi there! When is your surgery scheduled for? I had mine on Tues the 16th, and today is the first day that I really feel human again! I had a hiatal hernia fixed during the surgery tho, which adds to the pain and recovery time. Do you have a pre op diet? I did really well on mine, which really prepared me for these weeks post op. Thanks! I am soo excited, but also pretty nervous. When did you submit your appeal? Why did they deny you? I have been seeing alot of denials from Tricare lately, I wonder why?? I have my pre-op on Aug 27th, so I will definately find out more, which will hopefully calm my nerves a bit. Let me know how your appeal goes, good luck!
