@sillykittyI love that skirt so much! You look amazing, I’d never guess you are so recently out of surgery. I’ve been following your thread, and I’m starting to ponder where my spots that I’d like worked on. I’ll wait a year after hitting goal (16lbs!). Reading your story has been very helpful in coming to terms with the fact that I’ll be going under the knife. Okay, just call me The Angdelorian 😂 I just need my Lil Baby Yoda I’m making a dressform for tailoring/sewing my clothes, this is the base layer. I’ve done this before, years ago when I was at my heaviest, I, uh, used A LOT less tape this time. The stuffing and paper mache stage will probably also be faster. I may have bought too much stuffing.

I LOVE THAT LOOK, @Dtrain84!!!

Wow, what a gorgeous location! It looks like you are having a lovely time. ❤️

Oh, thank you so much! I was feeling a bit self-conscious about my loose skin tummy flab. But, I’m really trying to fight that, you know? It’s such a head game.

This is absolutely adorable.

Okay, your uniform is cool and all, but I LOVE HER DRESS! And necklace. Damn!

I am festive AF today. My only regret is not being able to find red sweater tights.

Weight loss is going very slow.

You are doing well. Weight loss isn’t always (or even generally) linear. Expect a stall at about 3 weeks out, just keep your chin up and know that it will pass. Your body sometimes needs a break from losing weight, to adjust itself. Those stalls are normal, though they can be frustrating. After the first few months, they can happen more frequently and last longer. Again, just know that it will pass. My last stall out lasted over a month, and I just lost 5 lbs in a week, and have not made any changes to my diet or exercise. It’s bizarre, and sometimes feels like I’m just along for the ride. Your body will lose at whatever rate it can deal with. But, know that as long as you stick to plan (mostly), you WILL lose it. -
Gorgeous! It’s actually a GREAT photo. Super artsy cool.

OODT: my new high rise dress pants, a dark brown sweater, and ankle boots. I, uh, might have A LOT of ankle boots now 😳. I have to do some physical moving things around at work today, so I won’t be returning home looking nearly as sharp. Fortunately it’s just ceramic green ware pieces that I’m moving around, so it washes out VERY easy. This outfit is actually pretty dang comfy.

This dress is super cute and flattering on you.

I especially love the tights and the bit of ruffle on this dress. Super cute.

Yep, I did! Well, I already had the top and boots, it was just the skirt I was trying. I bought a second skirt in the same general style, in a polka dot pattern, as well. And a pair of jeans, and some white pants, and some sneakers. I spent close to the same amount on myself as I did on the gifts I went there to purchase. Woooooooops. I like the tailored suit I wore, it was fine, but I’ve been actually feeling a bit bored with them. I’m considering getting a dress form when my weight stabilizes (goal is in 17lbs) so that I can mod my clothes (mainly my thrifted finds and whatnot). I have no idea what that will look like. But I have a background in the arts, including in costuming for short run theater (among other artsy things), and work in a creative field, so I can get away with pretty much whatever I want. I’m thinking small touches here and there - like buckles, contrasting stitching, etc. Here are the other two pieces I bought. Again, shapewear will be my friend. Darned saggy tummy!

What a great look! I love the black shoes coupled with the black sweater.
-
Oooh, I especially love the first dress!!

I went shopping today and tried a skirt on that had a fit I am not usually confident in. But, I think with some shapewear I can pull it off.
-
Oooh, I like that! It’s just me, loving the animals and the planet, not being cheap, honest.

Ok, here is my OODT. I found this cheap faux moto jacket at the thrift store and couldn’t resist an outfit that is verging on costume. Unfortunately all of the students are gone so there was no one at work to admire it 😢 ok, I think the striped dress might be getting a bit loose and less flattering, even with the belt. Thoughts?

Holy moly, DeeDee! I am envious of your figure!

Deep purple and WAY TOO BIG for your skinny ass! 😂

This is freaking adorable!!!!

I’m in cashmere, wool, and festive tights. Today is a good day. And I took this at a crappy angle again 🤷♀️

I love the suit and the shoes with them, @dtrain84! You have a great sense of color, and mix warms and cools beautifully.

I have my performance review today and decided to dress professionally. And I figured out why my selfies here were so bad - I was standing too far back from the mirror and it was goofing up the perspective. I used to have to stand that far to fit into the mirror. NSV!
