You know, oddly enough, I've seen representatives for this stuff all over the place. There's a bookstore near my work that sells little tubes of the gel. I've never really looked at 'em though, and didn't know they had protein ones. I'm sure they're waaay too expensive.

Congrats Jacklyn, on your consult. It's too bad that people are ending up cancelling on Dr. Tin, but hey, I totally understand, I would have too! I would have needed to hear from other people who've seen my surgeon, and not being able to find any would be freaky! There's probably some kind of network of them around somewhere, but hopefully they'll be represented here someday. You don't owe him anything, and why would you take a chance on an unknown, for the same price! when you can go with someone who tons of people have gone with!? Good choice and good luck :car:

It kinda depends who gets the job first! The job Dan would get would pay muuuuch better than mine would, so at least we'd be ok for a little bit until I found something in ON! and thank you :car: The good thing is that now that we're engaged, I don't think I'll get the 'why are you following him around the country?" comments from family! Hi Sherrylynn, Did you have a hernia repair done at the same time? From what I've heard, if you did, that could definitely be it. *I* would say it's probably still gas pains or just regular 'just had surgery' pains though. It's only been a couple days, you're bound to still be in some pain. Thanks Cindy, haha, I think it was probably 1982 when *I* was last in the 150's! Well, maybe not QUITE! But it's been a loooong time. I don't remember ever 150lbs. Loriely, it could be Oakville, Ottawa, or Toronto... or Vancouver. He had interviews with companies from all thos places. Regardless, as long as it isn't Vancouver, you guys'll be seeing alot of me! Hey guys, Just thought I'd post a little update for anyone interested! Enjoying a weekend Dan-free! He's gone to Ottawa until tomorrow for some interviews at the Ottawa International Animation Festival, and he'll be back tomorrow. After dropping him off, I swung by Sport Chek to see if they had this winter jacket I'd just for fun tried on several weeks ago, and they did, and it was on sale! When I'd first tried it on, I was looking for a XL, and was disappointed when there wasn't one, but saw a large, and thought "Ha, what the heck!" tried it on, and it fit... and was roomy! So I tried a medium and it was a little tight, but ok. Anyways, this time, I tried it on and it was perfect, which is nice, cause I haven't lost much, but its good to see I'm still shrinking. So I bought it... a freakin' MEDIUM jacket!! Last winter I bought a XL jacket that was a little snug, and I was so excited about THAT! Wooo! Here I am, strikin' a pose: I heard back about one of the jobs I applied for in Vancouver, but they wanted someone more local I replied that I was MORE than willing to get my butt out there ASAP, but nothing more from them yet. We have a friend working there, and he's already put in a good word for me, and really thinks I'll hear back AGAIN soon, so... I hope so. If not, Dan just called me, and he said that things went really well in all of his interviews. He's quite sure that he's gonna get a job out of at least one of these interviews for sure. Quite possibly one in Oakville! So, who knows, I could be local sometime soon, ladies!!! Yay! You're gonna be seeing me at ALL the events! Maybe I've been peeking at the scale inbetween weigh-ins and I've been seeing glimpses of the 150's, so I'm reeeeeeally hoping it says it again on Wed, so I can change my ticker and be there for REAL! Totally normal, nume130... don't worry. I personally didn't have any second thoughts.. I was SO ready for it! But I can understand. Everyone else said it way better, so listen to them! I grieved food for a long time, and I still have moments where I wish I could eat more, faster, longer... that sort of thing, but then I look at how much better my life is now, and check myself out in my first, new, full length mirror, and think "Man, this is so worth it." You'll get there too.

I also got sick, and vomitted so much that it caused enough irritation that I couldn't eat and barely drink, so I had to get a complete defill. Avoid vomitting out of sickness at all costs, cause you don't want a defill. (and the other possibilities of slips and such) And I don't know how it is possible, but vomitting now is just as it was in the good old days... everything that should come up, does. But if I have a dry heave, I make the most god-awful sound... like a very loud, hollow, deep burp... nothing I'd ever had before!

Ooh, I didn't realize it was on tonight! I just checked my guide on my cable, and it says "Biggest Loser/Keep the Weight Off?" - revisiting 13 past contestants, who weigh in and report on their progress since the show. Alison Sweeney hosts. (boooo!!!!) So... interesting. I don't know who hasn't been successful at keeping it off would want to come on tv and weigh in and show everyone the fact, (unless they're contractually bound to)... so I'm sure it'll all be successes.

I think it's good... but, from what I remember watching it before I was banded, it made me feel bad because none of the women were even nearly as heavy as I was, and they all (the women) lose 5lbs+ every week. (never mind the men, losing 10+ lbs a week!) If that doesn't prove that men lose faster and easier than women, what does!? You don't see any 3-400lb women making it on the show! Anyways, it's nice to watch and see how they change, but it can be disheartening to see people with all the advantages (not having to work, chefs, and nothing to do all day but work out) do something that you wish you could... and that you probably could do too, if you had those things at your disposal.

Can I ask you recently augmented gals something? Does your surgeon say anything about refraining from jogging? (like after the initial healing period, of course) Let's say running is your exercise of choice... bad idea if you want you new boobs to stay lookin' good?

Dr. Pleatman, Would someone who had virtually lost all they wanted to lose with the band, and needs to have it removed be the kind of candidate for an RNY or VSG you're talking about, or would that be for someone with still a ways to go? If you'd still do an RNY or VSG on someone at, say, 150lbs, who should ideally be 130 lbs, how would they be prevented from losing too much?
