I have had small amounts of salad but since I need to get my Protein it never amounts to much lettuce. I made a small Cobb type salad with ham or turkey, cheese and either lettuce or spinach. I weigh out my protein so I make sure I am getting enough. If I go out to dinner with my family I will usually take a few bites from my husbands salad.

I totally feel your pain. Since sept my cycles have been very short & periods lasting longer than normal. I feel like I am constantly eating. I have a gyno appt but they couldn’t get me in until Jan so I will be counting down the days

If you have a shaker bottle to mix Protein Shakes you can get Water after going through security to mix it. You can usually find a water fountain to fill it. I have a few individual packets of Protein Powder that makes it easy to travel with.
I am out of the house for long amounts of time due to my kids sports. I will also bring Jerky, I have found a few brands that tend to be on the softer side. Starbucks also has a cheese & egg Protein box that I grab sometimes while I am out, has 2 hard boiled eggs, cheese, grapes, about half an apple, Peanut Butter & a round muesli bread. My kids will usually help eat it since it tends to be a lot.

I have a 30oz Rtic cup that I put fresh fruit in the bottom and fill it with Water. It helps give it a little flavor without all the artificial ingredients. My nutritionist told me it was ok as long as I didn’t eat the fruit. Normally I use pineapple but have also used strawberries or raspberries instead. With the amount of fruit I use I can usually fill it up twice with water.

Yes. Had surgery Aug 30th & stalled at week 3 for 2 weeks. Weight definitely seems to be coming off slower than younger people I have seen who had the surgery. Even when the scale isn’t moving I have seen differences in how clothes fit.

I recommend writing down your measurements prior to surgery. I have a scale & I do tend to weigh myself daily and around 3 weeks I did hit a stall & it was stressing me out that it wasn’t moving. At my 1 month park I rechecked my measurement & I could see the difference in inches all over. I also have a Fitbit that tracks my heart rate. Even when the scale wasn’t moving I could see my resting heart rate going down. It clicked that I needed to look at the bigger picture. It’s not just numbers on a scale.

My surgeon requires non-estrogen birth control so I had the Mirena inserted the day before surgery. My body didn’t like it & it came out on its own 12 days later. Luckily I saw it in the toilet so no surprise pregnancy for me.

So, my coworkers just sent me a beautiful edible arrangement. That’s what I get for not sharing. Thank goodness it doesn’t have chocolate covered fruit or I would’ve cried. But the fruit looks lovely and delicious. Hubby and kids will enjoy. I did snag some pineapple to freeze later on for my Protein smoothies. I still want to bite into that fruit though! (Sigh)
I had a similar experience except instead of fruit it was a basket of Cookies and brownies. At least my kids enjoyed it.

6 days after surgery I couldn’t poop & had been taking a stool softener. Ended up buying dulcolax suppositories and it did the job. I have only had to use them a couple times.

I've been doing well and have tolerated every food I've tried so far; no nausea or vomiting. I'm still learning how to stop BEFORE I eat a bit too much and get that uncomfortably full feeling. It's like my mind is like no way will that satisfy you so I go another bite or two and then I'm like that was definitely a bit too much. I'm on a regular full diet now but just being mindful of not eating anything that is super hard to digest. How is everyone else doing so far?
I also don’t have any issues in regards to tolerating different foods. I have always been a slow eater so I have been able to stop eating before over doing it. I am 1 month out from surgery & hit a stall. Went to gym last night & will be trying to get more exercise this week to get the scale moving.

I am in the same situation & currently in a stall. It’s frustrating but I know it will pass. Even though the scale isn’t moving I can see a difference in the mirror & in how clothes fit. I am 1 month out, my surgery was 8/30. This upcoming week I plan to increase my exercising (but still taking it easy) in hopes it helps. I haven’t gotten clearance yet for unrestricted exercise yet so I have only been walking.

I was sleeved on 8/30 & also wishing it was faster. I am only down 14 lbs since surgery & 27 since starting the process. This past week the scale hasn’t moved. It’s a marathon so I am in for the long stretch & determined to get over this hump

Hi fairly new here. I am 45 and was sleeved 8/30. So far everything is doing good except when my 9 yo accidentally pushed on my biggest scar. Surgeon said likely just a contusion to the muscle and area tender.

First-hand I weighed myself on the morning of the surgery and after the 2-week liver shrinking diet and the two day liquid diet- my weight going into surgery was 231. I weighed myself this morning and I have shot back up to 244.5. And I have "eaten" ok not Clear Liquids and Protein Shakes since surgery. I was thinking this may be bloating and trapped gas, but not sure. Did anyone else have this? When did you start to see the weight decline?
Second questions- when I try to wear my contacts post surgery, my vision is blurry. The pain reliever they gave me is a narcotic pain reliever and it seems to dialate my eyes. I can see a bit better in my glasses, but prefer contacts. Stuff up close is quite blurry. Did anyone else experience this and if so, what did you do- or did it just go away?
Thank you!I had had my surgery 8/30 and came home Friday. My weight was 234 the morning of surgery and was 238 when I came home. I had a lot of swelling & gas after surgery but my weight has been going down. Just remember to keep sipping. I am on a full liquid diet and when I am not sipping Protein Shakes I am sipping my Water.

I don’t mind the taste. I am not a big milk drinker so most Protein Drinks leave the milky taste in my mouth. I also like I can put it in a cup of ice & bring it with me on the go.

Isopure clear Protein Drinks. One bottle has 40 grams of Protein & 160 calories. I bought them at GNC & they were buy 5 get 1 free. I also just bought Ghost brand powder in Peanut Butter Cereal milk, I haven’t tried it yet but several people I know love it.

I had my first stall around 3 weeks and wasn’t my last. The month of December I barely lost any weight per the scale BUT my clothes were still getting too big. Within the last few days the scale started dropping again and I am down around 5 lbs in about 4 days. Hang in there. Remember it’s a marathon not a sprint.
