hi my left shoulder was really painful after the op and it lasted for at least 8 weeks, i suspect it was when i was getting lifted off the operating table, i think it was a pulled muscle. about problem #2 i really don't know.

hi i have had my surgery 6 weeks now and i can feel my port. it sits just below my breastbone between my ribcage. it feels like a hard lump. apparently this is normal, some people are lucky enough to not feel it but others do. i have just accepted this as a side effect of the band so i am not taking it seriously as there is no pain or discomfort.

Hi i had my band fitted in Belgium and i do not want to have to go back there everytime i need a fill. does anyone know of a Fill Doctor nearer to me?

hi am am due to have my first fill in 2 days time and i am slightly embarrassed to go back as i suspect i have probably put on a few pounds since getting the band 6 weeks ago, so far i can eat normally just as normally as before so i haven't lost anything, please advise me, is this normal-ish? is there anybody that has had a similar experience or knows of this. please help.................................

Hi there, i can recommend an excellent surgeon Dr Chris De Bruyne. His secretary is called Julie 07872 963503 or his assistants number is +32(0)472019091 his name is Frederik Serneels. the website is www.obesity-assist.com very nice people and reasonably priced. they come to ireland twice a month for aftercare. he has a really good history in gastric banding. good luck.
