I had a few sips of Diet Pepsi today.. burped a bit but otherwise fine! Tasted great.. was kind of hoping it wouldn’t! LOL

I got sleeved Oct 1 2018 and have been doing great! Lost 60lbs and just hit onderland!
However, there are times (like tonight) that I am just jonesing for a Diet Pepsi. How bad will it be to have a few sips once in a blue moon? What will happen? Gas?

I did it!! Hello onederland!!! I’ve lost 58lbs since Oct 1 when I had my surgery. I have been having a very hard week and this gave me the boost I needed to get through it. Thank you all for your support through this.. it makes all the difference.

My taste buds have changed too, it’s not just you!! Meanwhile, some negative people in my life make fun of me and call me weird.. they didn’t operate on your tongue! It’s very annoying.

I’m in a 16 that’s a little too big so I bought the 14s and have them waiting!!! I can fit into a regular XL and sometimes an L top!!! It feels amazing.. two pounds left to onederland, 54lbs down!On 12/17/2018 at 16:20, JulieL123 said:
Anyone out of plus size clothes yet?? I can’t wait for that day!! How far off is 16 w to a 14 regular? Ok wearing an 18 so still a bit to go! -
Hi pdamoci! Don’t feel bad!! It took me a while to see pounds dropping off and I had surgery 10/1. Are you noticing any other changes? Clothes being too big? Are you getting in enough calories? That doesn’t seem like enough but I don’t count calories. Are you eating 5 times a day?On 12/15/2018 at 08:23, pdamoci said:
I am starting to regret that I had this surgery. My surgery dates was 10/26 and to date I have lost 28lbs which includes the two week pre diet. I had a stall which lasted 2 and 1/2 weeks and then I started losing weight again only to hit another stall now. That being said I have only lost 6lbs this entire month. I could of just done any regular diet and probably would have lost more weight than having this surgery. Feeling so Disheartened and depressed. I started to increase my calorie intake to about 600-700 per my nutritionist and I am walking 2 miles a day. I feel like a freak and don’t know what I am doing wrong.
No regrets!! Stay strong :)laughinglaurie1@yahoo.com reacted to this -

Hi Linda! I had occasional acid reflux before surgery and *knock on wood* haven’t had ANY since. Surgery was 10/1 :)On 12/08/2018 at 08:17, Linda86 said:
General question for the group did anyone have heartburn and a hiatal hernia before surgery? Did you dr fix it during and did it resolve your heartburn after? I am scheduled for 12/21 and just nervous that I will have the heartburn worse after surgery. I love reading all of your stories it sounds like everyone is doing great! -
Congrats aussiemomdinoaunt!!!!!! That’s a fantastic accomplishment :)

Talk to your prescribing doctor. If it’s extended release it may be.On 11/29/2018 at 20:38, Bhealthy8288 said:
What kind of meds? I take celexa. Wondering if it’s messing with that -
@georgetown My surgeon did NOT!! I was very angry when my psychiatrist said that was why I was sooo depressed. We changed some things around so I take meds twice a day instead of all at once and I feel a lot better.

I felt the same way. I was sleeved Oct 1 and feel so much better now, but the first month was the worst. On 11/29/2018 at 15:29, Ellen_2610 said:
Screaming SOS .... when the heck will I feel better. I'm getting really depressed. I did this so that I can do things with my grandchildren, For the past 5 weeks I've been sick as a dog therefore not able to spend any time with them ... FRUSTRATED. Why the hell did I do this to myself?🤢🤢🤢
Side note, if you or any of you take extended release anti depressants or anxiety etc meds, they will not absorb properly after surgery. Found that out the hard way!! Went through surgery and all that comes with it plus withdrawals from meds. It sucked.
Hang in there Ellen, I promise it gets better!!Ellen_2610 reacted to this -
Me too! I got mine off Amazon but I’m excited to use it. I work a desk job and it keeps telling me to do my steps and it’s hard to get them in during the day!On 11/29/2018 at 20:22, notmyname said:Ellen_2610 reacted to this -

@josh m.. I was sleeved the 1st and my scale has barely budged since surgery! But inches are coming off and everyone has noticed a huge difference. Hang in there!!

Notmyname we have something similar here but I’m actually going to give them to my stepmom first, she has a woman she works with that really needs them. Anything she doesn’t take will go there.

Same here.. my surgery was 10/1 and my scale has barely budged since then so I stopped checking it as often. I’m sure it’ll pick up for us soon!!On 10/23/2018 at 23:22, CrankyMagpie said:
Ehhh I've been stalled (bouncing around in the same half pound range) for like a week. (10/3 surgery.) I'm not too stressed. The body has a lot to adjust to.

So sorry to hear about the blood clot! I haven’t had it but maybe ask on the vet forums? Best of luck for a speedy recovery!!!!On 10/23/2018 at 21:35, Jesshay said:
I had my sleeve done 10/10/18. I am currently in the hospital in extreme pain. I have a blood clot in my stomach. Apparently it is very rare. My doctor has only seen it 3 times in 20 + years. Has anyone else had this issue? Or am I alone -
Congrats!!!!!!On 10/21/2018 at 12:42, katiemarie22 said:
Just did my first weekly weigh in since surgery. I’m down 8 lbs post op and 20 lbs overall! Wohoo! -
Some inspiration for all of you!! I was sleeved oct 1 and was feeling a bit down because the scale hasn’t moved much since surgery. Just tried on my slacks for work next week and they were too small and now they are baggy and hanging off me!!! 😁
-
I just got mine two weeks later and I wasn’t due for it! Maybe something to do with the surgery??
-
Thanks @crankymagpie.. I’m mad at them too!! And I’m so close to my aunt and sister that it’s really hard right now.

Olly, I know the feeling!! I just couldn’t take it anymore. I was out to dinner and was so sick of Water. I find it really bugs me if I’m out because it’s basically water or nothing. I decided to just try it and I feel fine. Maybe a bit full after each sip, but I drank so little it didn’t make a difference in my food intake. Totally worth it!
