Awesome!! How much did you lose overall? Mine slowed down at about 9 month to a year so I’m worried getting this off now will be so hard!On 05/08/2020 at 08:26, ms.sss said:GreenTealael reacted to this -
That’s great!! I wonder how it will work for WLS patients.. I may have to bite the bullet and pay for it

Anyone else gain weight since quarantine? Sorry if this is already been discussed, but I gained 12 pounds over the last 2 months and feel awful. I’m closer to 200 now than I’d like. I’ve been working from home for two months so I’ve been sitting at my desk all day with little to no exercise. I’m also a “bored eater” so that hasn’t helped.
Anyone try Noom? I just got let go so not sure if I should pay for that right now...
Ty for listening!ms.sss and GreenTealael reacted to this -
I hear you guys! I gained 7 pounds after being put on a new medication but thankfully lost it after I was switched to something else. Other than that, the scale hasn’t budged. I need to find a way to exercise but with my elliptical in storage and no money to join a gym I am SOL.
-
@freiabr I’m so sorry to hear about your mother! I hope it all works out for you. You must be doing something right out there if you’re still losing! Sometimes other things are just more important.
So my scale moved for the first time in 2 months - I gained 7 pounds!!!! In a week and a half. I’m livid. I started a new anti depressant and I knew it was making me hungry but I never expected that huge increase. Needless to say, we are switching me to a different medication lol
Has anyone tried intermittent fasting? Can someone explain how it works and if you’ve seen results?
I see my surgeon and NUT next week because I’m so upset about the weight gain and hope they can get me back on track. -
@orchids&dragons
I saw that thread but am not familiar with the process or results. What does intermittent do overall? Maybe I’ll PM fluffychix... thanks! -
Hey all! I’ll be at 9 months July 1st from my sleeve surgery. I can’t believe it’s been that long!! I lost almost 80 lbs, starting at 256 and down to 179.
So I’ve been stalled for about two months. That scale just isn’t budging!!! I don’t feel a huge difference in clothes size lately so it’s not like I’m losing inches and not weight.
I know a huge part of that is that my elliptical had to go into storage when I moved in with my boyfriend. His place is small and there just isn’t room for it. I don’t have money for a gym and I’ve always kind of hated gyms, so my exercise is very limited. I’m in NJ so, weather permitting, I take walks while on break at work and after work, but that’s about it.
I’d like to lose another 25 pounds, but maybe that’s unrealistic? I feel great and I’m the smallest I’ve ever been in my adult life, I just don’t want to see the scale creep up!! My dad keeps saying I’m going to gain it all back the way he did (very supportive, I know!)
I’m eating every few hours but also - I’m HUNGRY!! It may be a medication I’m taking for depression, but I’m hungry a LOT and crave food before bed.
Thanks for listening :) -
I can’t believe I’m now taking meds for cholesterol. I was so sure it would go down after losing weight. On 05/25/2019 at 18:34, ms.sss said:
So did mine. My PCP was was so surprised that he ordered another round of blood tests to re-check. Hopefully it was a mistake of some kind because I don't want to go back to taking meds
I haven’t lost any weight in weeks. Is anyone else struggling past the 6 month mark? Did I just lose all I’m going to? I need to exercise more but I moved and had to put my elliptical in storage :-( -
Hi everyone! I’m from Monmouth county and am almost 7 months out :) anyone else from the shore?

I made the mistake of driving to Florida and the pain in my tailbone is so bad I can’t even stand. I did buy a pillow like the ones others have shared and I almost felt like it made it worse. When I’m sitting or standing I’m fine but going from sitting to standing feels like my tailbone is going to snap off. Is this normal??

Tomorrow is 6 months for me! I’m really happy overall but my hair has started to fall out 😫 anyone have any recommendations on making it stop? I’ve added Biotin to my daily Vitamins.
Other than that, I started at 256 and am down to 180! I haven’t had as much time to exercise lately so I’m stalled, but I’m motivated to start up again!Freiabr and ms.sss reacted to this -
I have the levels somewhere, I’ll have to dig them up.
My doc is also the doc for my dad and aunt and he said there’s are not this bad. Need to check on my moms side. -
My cholesterol was a bit high prior to weight loss surgery. I’m down 70 pounds and had some blood work done a couple of weeks ago. My primary doctor was very surprised to see my cholesterol has significantly increased.
Anyone else have this issue or know why it could have happened? I was hoping to have the opposite effect after WLS -
So I bought size 14 jeans a couple of weeks ago because my 16s were getting roomy. They were still too darn small! So I went from 16W to regular 16 and then today.. the 14s fit!!!! I’m ecstatic and can’t believe I’m in the smallest of the plus sizes. Tops from Avenue are too big.. I need to find a “normal” size place to shop at!
In case you’re wondering I started at a 20/22 and have lost 70 pounds -
Hi everyone!! I had my 3 month check in at my surgeons today and it went amazingly well. I’m down 61 pounds and have another 30 or so to go until I’m just “overweight”.
Just wanted to see if any of you are having check ins this month and how it’s going??aussiemomdinoaunt and Hrsnjs reacted to this -
Hi everyone! I was sleeved on Oct 1 2018 and have done really well. However, I woke up a few days ago with a killer cold (I hope it’s not anything worse!)
Any issues with taking OTC cold meds? I know my extended release anti depressants didn’t absorb as well, so will 12-24 hr meds work as they are supposed to? I was cleared to take Advil again after 2 months post-op, so not worried about that ingredient.
I did call my doctor and the receptionist said I can take whatever I want and won’t have any issues, but she was vague and unhelpful. -
I am on a number of antidepressants/ anti anxiety meds and was able to swallow day after being sleeved. Some were not absorbing properly so I switched to ones that aren’t extended release.
Best of luck!HunterJsMom reacted to this -
I had the band in 2012 and was miserable. I could barely swallow anything, even liquids. So it stayed in without fill until 2015 when I had it removed.
Sleeved Oct 1 2018 and love it! Down 60lbs and feel great :)
Best of luck to you!!! -
That’s amazing, congrats on your weight loss!! One a week sounds totally doable :)On 12/27/2018 at 08:47, millerla4 said:

I feel this, I stopped soda after my first appointment with the nutritionist pre-op. I haven't had a single craving until last night. I had a dream that I chugged a 32oz cherry coke and ate an entire take out container of shrimp fried rice. Woke up with my stomach hurting (sympathy pains from the dream? haha). The gas pains aren't worth it I just know it.

That's awesome for you, I'm so happy for you! Can I ask how tall you are?
My sister had the sleeve in July of 2019 and she has gotten to the point where I consider her too small. She obsesses about everything she eats. If she has "the munchies" she'll eat a lemon drop to get a different taste in her mouth so she won't want to eat. I'm worried she has gone too far and may have an eating disorder.
