    Non Plain Water Drink Choices

I’m a Bai fan too. Love them all. My go to is a splash of lemon juice in ice water.

    Hungry

I am drinking enough water. Chewing well but most likely eating too fast. Husband has needed slippery food for health reasons so I don’t think that had been helpful. I am down 35 pounds and post menopausal, so weight loss is OK.

    Hungry

I’m 6 weeks out and can easily eat a cup of food. I am trying to add fiber and veggies to get a more noticeable fullness. I use a bowl that holds around a cup of food to keep me on track.

    Made it to 60

You look fantastic. Your body will know its happy weight.
  6. I was told to use the Atkins shakes. I did it. It was not easy at all.
  7. I'm down 30 pounds between pre-op and 8/22 sleeve surgery. Walking has gotten much easier. No more daily Alleve for pain. 30 minute dog walk feels fine. I started daily light cardio DVDs. Just start slowly and as you lose you will feel much better.

    Taking Multiple Pills Post Surgery

At the one month point, I can take my 3 multivitamin capsules with no problem. I used chewables for the first 4 weeks.

    How do you Move it?

I have around 6 Jessica Smith DVDs that I enjoy. All total I have a good 30 DVDs from all sorts of people. I like to do 30 minutes first thing in the morning. I also walk the dog. Doc has given me clearance for more aggressive exercise so the treadmill will be getting some attention soon. I like to do speed and incline intervals on that.

    Hernia, liver biopsy?

A liver bx was a routine part of my sleeve.

    Worried that I am failing

I received some great advice from the psychologist during my band eval years ago (now a sleever) - Being a "B" student is what you should strive for in eating after WLS. If you think you have to be perfect, the pressure may be too much. But if you aim for a "B", good most of the time, but certainly not all of the time, you may be happier in the long run. My goal is to build a healthy lifestyle at a healthy weight. Which does include some snacks, birthday cake and wine.

All I want to eat is cheese!

I put Laughing Cow in my scrambled eggs to get a nice creamy texture. Very satisfying. Or if I'm indulgent, blue cheese in my scrambled eggs.
  15. I had the same stuck problem for 6 days right after surgery. Like a golf ball. Was instructed to try glycerin suppository. I had to have my husband assist - I was not happy. I also used leftover flexeril and gabapentine to relax muscles down there and cut down on pain. I had similar before and urogynecologist game me muscle relaxant injections right where I needed them. Good luck - I truly feel your pain.
  16. Sounds good to me. 3 weeks out and I would have done the same thing.
  17. I also feel I can certainly eat more than a half cup - and I’m 3 weeks out from sleeve. I will say with chicken salad, I stop pretty quickly. I do chew to oblivion. Luckily, I losing 1/2 pound a day, so it’s working.

    Secret sleevers?

Only tell the people you want to know. Be prepared with the answer you are comfortable sharing when they ask you how you’re losing all that weight.

For all who need a kick up the butt!

I love this article. In fact, I just set daily alarms for my calcium since I have been forgetting.
  20. 19 days out from sleeve and I’ve already had a glass of wine twice. But then, I did choose sleeve since it was more wine friendly than other surgeries.
  21. You are inspiring me! My BMI just fell below 50 on my last visit. 28 pounds down since preop diet started with 8/22 surgery. We can do this!

How often do you weigh in?

Most days. First thing in the morning after taking care of business. But if I forget no biggie.
