has anyone tested positive to the H pillory bacteria after the biopsy they run on the stomach they take out? I did and dr send me with the same amount of pills I took when I had my whole stomach! So finding time between when to eat; wait for liquids before and after food; the normal pills for reflux the give you; vitamins; and know all that antibiotics 5 pills plus another 2 to protect your stomach...I don’t have enough time in a day the space them out ... :(

Prayer request. ellie123, send us a message that she was in extreme pain, last night she had to go to the ER, where they run a CT scan and told her she had a Partial obstruction and internal swelling. They gave her morphine and pain never stop. Today she is still in extreme pain, nauseous and vomiting. She was admitted at the Bariatric Hospital for tonight. I believe in the power of prayers, please join me in praying for her during the day asking God for healing and wisdom to drs so they can help her.

Hi Megan Sadler; I had it the same day too!

Chrisb428, I guess is normal to be nervous; in my case I already had it done 6 days ago. I had a laparoscopic surgery before; therefore, I was familiar with the pain of that type of surgery and the air pressure pain that in my case travels to my shoulder. I didn’t know about the pain of the surgery though. So let me tell you I prepared mentally for the worst pain for a couple of days. However, the pains I can described are two. The one for the air pressure you ask for pain medicine every time they can give you; for example they shid you can have it every 4 hours then you asked the nurse to give it to you every time. Then you walk, that will allow you burp or fart, Yes the best two things can happen to you after surgery Then until I got home a different kind of pain like someone has punched you in your stomach, but if you continue with the pain medicine at least the first two days every allowed time then you will see if you can start taking them every 6 hrs instead of every 4. Walk and walk, take liquids every 15 minutes, campbell chicken noodle Soup strained is awesome; my mom made her own so that is what I have been drinking for lunch time and dinner timer. I know everyone is different but my husband and I had have pretty much the same; hope this help you a little bit on what to expect if that is your fear. If not; in the name of Jesus I pray; so God can bring peace and calm your heart. We will continue praying for you...remember it is a new beginning and start all over is always scare, but you can do it!

at the hospital with my hubby, he just came out of the surgery around 1 hour ago! as he is waking up he said he feels like a pressure on the stomach (the air), then he asked for pain medicine not that is painful but he does not want to hurt, he said!

Hi, my husband is going for surgery this Tuesday. I might have mine also in August but still no date, last week or the one before the last, guessing and waiting for insurance approval. Now I have to focus on my baby and today we were shopping for the clear liquid diet! Our surprise has been the amount of products that claim being healthy and have almost 2000 on sodium 😱! It’s been a little confused to navégate in this page. I hope with just this group I can manage it better and then teach my husband how to get involved since I am sure will be needed as his support group! Hi to everyone front Texas!

Hi everyone! could you please add my husband Mike, today is his 1 day of preop liquid diet. In order to support him and motivate him I am doing it too! He will be having the surgery on 8/7. As some of people posts, we are worried a little scare, but he refuses to get insulin so this is the only option. Praying for all of you . That God gives you the strength you need, and hope to here in 6 months the wonderful changes that all of you will be sharing 🤗

15 minutes ago, Ernie D said:I for one cant look at the cost overall but I can tell you one thing. I was diabetic for 12 years. My Insulin cost $3,000 for 90 day supply. I couldn't afford that so I cut back to ration it made it last 5 months. That was NOT good for me as you can imagine. LONG Story short. Since the surgery my diabetes is soooooooooooo much better I am just about at the point where they are going to declare me non diabetic. that you cannot put a price on . I would say. For the longevity of your health in years to come with it being better and not worse I would say what you will pay will far be worth it rather than consequences from a disease from being over weight
