  1. i felt nothing with my first fill of 1.3cc's. in fact, i called to schedule my next fill less than two weeks after the first fill...of course, they did not have an opening that soon, but i was in the office for my next fill just shy of 4 weeks from the first fill, and almost half of my first fill had done that "first fill disappearing act." They pulled the first fill completely out and replaced it with 1.8cc/4cc band. I could kinda tell a difference immediately in that i could not comfortably gulp my Water...it was like my body was scared to swallow, and my throat would not open and allow the water to be swallowed for a second or two. One week from the second fill, i felt restriction. i would say that i have mild restriction right now, but it is enough for me to recognize when I have had enough to eat, and i am able to stop. i am going again on june 19 for a tiny addition to my current fill, as i think i need a little extra help...just a lil bit. well, good luck to you, and to anyone else reading out there!
  2. hang in there...i did, and now i have 3 more lost pounds to show for it. i know the scales will stall again, but i am ok with that. the pounds that i have lost, are not being regained. i am confident about that. weight must be lost a pound at a time, and i am ready for a long journey! good luck to you!
  3. hey all march bandsters... i wanted to share with you my latest news. first, my history...the first couple of weeks with the band, i lost about 5-6 lbs. The nothing... nothing...nothing...then my first fill. I lost another pound or so the first week, then nothing...nothing...nothing...then I got another fill. the first week...nothing...the second week---mild restriction---and now this week, well, my scales have been moving since late last week. i tormented myself by weighing everyday, and for all this time, i have seen no movement on the scales, so now i am anxiously jumping on the scales each morning and i am seeing a difference daily. i was stuck at 197/198 for the end of march, april, and most of may. today i woke up at 193.5!! i am a low bmi-er, and several of my bandster buddies out there were also banded in march, have similar start weight/bmi, and have similar slow starts. i just wanted to let you guys know that my patience is paying off, and yours will too!!:clap2: 13 1/2 lbs...gone forever!

  5. Call Dr. Spivak, you have paid him to help you through this. He can answer any questions about what is happening, and he can give you guidance and direction for your healing. I, too, used Dr. Spivak, and while i had not problems such as you are speaking of, i really cant offer any advice. I can tell you that on the times that I felt it was necessary to call upon the good doctor, he was more than kind and ever so willing to help me. good luck and take care of yourself!

  21. we have to call english peas...booties... DD just turned 4 and calls her boobies...booties. and i told her once that eating her veggies will make her booties bigger, and from then on she calls the peas booties. she also, when she was 2 almost 3 was in the bathroom while i was taking a shower. She peeks around the shower curtain while i have soap on my face and i hear her say "EWWWWWWWWW" real slow and deliberately. i open my eyes to see her pointing at my midsection. i say what, and she says "eww, you got big ol spider in dere mommy!" so from then on, it isnt a coochie, hoohoo, nunu, or hatch, but a spider, and big sometimes hairy, spider.
  22. hee...not a "marriage" term, but when my oldest was learning to talk, he would try to say little bitty and it would come out "habitty" so now, EVERYONE in my family uses this word to represent something that is very small. It was really hilarious when my dad and 3 grown brothers along with DH were building deer stands a couple of years ago, and DD crawled up in the tree and was doing to arduous stuff. He became irritated at my brothers for handing him the wrong tools, nails, etc. He asked for the little nail, and my brother handed him a small nail, but obviously not the nail that DD wanted. So VERY angrily, DD shouts "The HABITTY ONE DAMMIT!" He was seriously aggitated, and we all fell to the forest floor laughing our not so habitty butts off!
  23. OOPS, i mean POOPS, i just realized that i was posting here, thinking i was on DeLarla's kitty litter thread...sorry de
