  1. Just got my ultrasound results back. Multiple Stones. Thank you to everyone who suggested my gallbladder! 3+ trips to the ER and not one of those high paid doctors thought of it even though my chart said I was a Bariatric patient! Thank you all so much! Holding off to have it removed Jan 23.

  2. Hey everyone! A urgent care doctor finally said he believes I have biliary colic which I guess is a fancy term for gallstones but yet not a full blown gallbladder infection yet. Regardless he said it probably needs to come out.. and I have an ultrasound appointment Tuesday to confirm. Of course I tell my co worker and she says in gonna gain weight after I have it out. Who knows if there’s truth to that 🤷🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

  3. I’ve been sleeved since 9/24/2019. To date I’ve lost about 107lbs. I never seemed to have any issues with food or anything for a while but lately for the pas few months I’ve been having bouts of severe chest pains. So bad I can hardly move. Often they are accompanied by nausea and vomiting. Can’t say that it’s what I eat because often times it comes after eating foods I’ve eaten the entire time since being sleeved like eggs avocado and I usually have no issues. This morning for example I woke up like this. I have had an endoscopy done which found no problems. Today I’ve tried taking an antacid and a gas pill and I’m finding a really no relief. I’ve been laying here in bed all morning with a heating pad trying to get it to pass. Doctors really have nothing to tell me. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

You got this. Looking at your picture, you are gorgeous and it can only get better from here. Just try to stay positive and keep sipping. If you feel too dehydrated, there's always IV fluids. You will get passed the hard part and become a better you because of it.

Thank you so much !!! Appreciate the kind words.

Are you supposed to be eating 3 weeks out? Almost all post-op diet's I've seen for Sleeved patients is liquids only for a month. With the Water, try adjusting the temperature and taste with sugar free flavorings. Water "texture" intolerance is fairly common post op, at least until you are fully healed. Check out some of the Protein water style Proteins that are clear, these fit into your clear phase and provide you with Protein when you can't consume full liquids or actual foods. Might help you out. Have you been in contact with your surgical team about the issues you are having? If not, please do so!

Yes! Perhaps my body isn’t ready. Last week I was cleared for “soft foods” like eggs. This week I was cleared to try seafood or shellfish. Next week I’m supposed to try chicken and turkey, the week after pork and beef. The thought of all that stuff makes me want to drop dead. Honestly all I want is cold water, a fruit smoothie and fresh fruit but my plan doesn’t allow fruit yet. Since I’ve been feeling sick my doctor told me to go back to liquids.

  6. I’m ab three weeks out and I’m having a hard time. I’m tired all the time, it’s hard to eat anything! I feel like most things sit in my tummy for hours ! I randomly woke up Sunday and couldn’t keep a thing down not even Water. Speaking of water... I’m SO THIRSTY!!! The small sips aren’t doing anything and after a few sips I’m feeling a “sick feeling”. Before surgery I drank a lot of sparkling water which I know I can’t have. All I wanna do is use a straw and guzzle down some ice cold water but I can’t and I’m so frustrated! Regretting this at this point.. even though I’m 37!lbs. is it worth it if I’m feeling like the walking dead? Sorry for the rant I’ve just had it

  7. My surgery date is 9/24 and I feel like my heart is gonna fall straight out through my butt thanks to nerves. I think one huge reason is my surgeon requires NO type of preoperative fast or diet. I just have to fast after midnight. Has anyone ever heard of this????

  8. Hi guys! I’m in the very early stages of my journey. Ive stalked these forums , you tube and finally went to a seminar. Yesterday I met with the doctor for a consultation. The medical assistant weighed me on a jumbo digital scale like what I’ve seen at the vet. 167 it said. Kilos I’m assuming. She said she would convert that to pounds in the office. Once in there she tells me it is equal to 409lbs. Now this shocked me. Just 2 months ago I weighed 347. I didn’t comment but I just silently cried until the doctor came in. When I went home I searched online for a kilo to lbs converter and found the 167 kilos = 367 lbs. this seems way more likely and what I expected to hear. So my question is.... do I say something to the doctor? Is there a chance I’m missing something? It has me super freaked out Thinking what other mistakes might be made with my care.
