Do they have G2 (Gatorade 2)? That's what I have to drink because I'm so dehydrated. It had half the sugar of regular. Also, I don't know if they have Wal-Mart's where you are, I'm not sure where you live, but they have drink mixes like Crystal light. 5 cals, sugar free. Today is day 8 post surgery. I have a lot of stomach gurgling and pain. I can't tell if I drank too much or if they are hunger pains! Any advice?

Apparently I am swallowing a lot of air when I drink. Dr. recommended exhaling before drinks. Everyone's always told me I was full of hot air. Now there is proof!

I'm one week post-op. Taco bell has their rolled tacos which are one of my favorite things in the whole world. Hubby brings it home for the whole family while I'm here sip sip sipping on liquids that I'm officially sick of. I walk by the bag and look in the bottom and there are little cups of nacho cheese that no one's eaten. I got a spoon and took three tiny bites of the nacho cheese... Hey it's a liquid, right? I have been feeling so weak. If I try to walk more than 20 steps I feel awful. I still do it, but I feel like I'm going to pass out. My blood sugar is normal, but I can't check my bp (off course my machine just went out on me) although I don't take meds for bp. I can't do anything more than lay on bed. Oh no!!! Glad you were seen quickly, tho. You didn't need to sit there for 6 hours after just having surgery.

Same here.. last night I was kicking myself in the behind. Wondering why did I have to go through all of this. Why couldn’t I just eat healthier. But I knew it was not going to change, and this is a tool to help us! Keep your head up. ❤️ If we could have done it on our own, we would have! It would have been a lot easier. I NEED the restriction. Although I did go through a day of "what the heck did I do", I know I would still be 265 lbs and adding if I didn't do something.

I had the same thing with the burps. It got better after a few days. I even vomited in the hospital, which made me pee all over my bed and myself. That was fun calling the nurse for. Just keep an eye out. Do the breathing exercise. It will pass! Sent from my LGL59BL using BariatricPal mobile app

I think I will skip Tuesday and go in on Thursday. I have a project due that day and the following week is Finals. Otherwise I wouldn't go at all! It is definitely hell week! I follow up with dr on Wed.

Had surgery on 11/26. I can't tell if my stomach pains are from not drinking enough or from trying to drink too much at once. So frustrating. I'm weak and definitely not getting enough fluids or protein. Tell me it gets easier. I have to return to school on Tuesday!

Tomorrow is the day for me. I am super excited but really nervous. I'm afraid I'm going to forget to bring something, or forget to take my last med, or to drink the carb load, and somehow they are going to find a way to tell me that I can't have the surgery tomorrow. I couldn't do this liquid pre-op diet again!
